    If May does happen to resign as leader of the Tory party (although we're a long way from that yet), who would replace her?

    Rudd (though she could be in trouble)? Johnson? Leadsome? Gove? Hunt? Ruth Davidson?

    From what I've seen of Davidson she seems ok, and I'm sure there must be others. The current government though... Maybe 99% of Tories give the rest a bad name?

    Tbh the Tories have always been a party for the elite, upper class part of the British population. You've got to be a bit of a **** to represent them and their policies, so she's probably not ok.

    Still a long way to go as only safe seats for Tories and Labour have declared to date. Basically the UKIP vote has collapsed so it depends where they all jump to.

    Not really for the elite any more. Polls show that the class divide between Tories and labour doesn't really exist any more. Now the biggest factor is age. Labour get more votes from people under 30 and Tory get more votes from people over 50.
