Here is the link below. Lets get this deal done,we can all move on. Told you Lesta that is what would happen. http://www.footie-online.co.uk/2011/08/newcastle-to-bid-for-bristol-city-striker/4530/ BBC reporting rumour. Newcastle are thought to be interested in signing Bristol City's Nicky Maynard, with manager Alan Pardew set to offer the Robins £4.5m plus Leon Best. Full story: footieonline
To be honest I think Sven gave up on Maynard some weeks ago fella! Good luck to him up there, joey Barton and other players want out of that place under Ashley?
We have had bids rejected on your official site. This looks like anyone can write anything on it, its not a source that can really be trusted is it?
Thats a load of rubbish that rumour is If we in to believing rumours we have just bid 5.5M for Maynard
I'd have liked to join - and I also gave up on him some time ago - Oh well at least it should end the sniping between us and Brizzle - There's never been a beef between us before
I think it's just another false trail with regard to Nicky M,according to this local Newcastle paper they are going after this guy... http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newc...ants-to-join-newcastle-united-72703-29237669/
Someone actually wants to join Newcastle!! He needs his head testing, with Mike Ashley there they will forever be nothing more then a joke
A bit of a tinpot article don't you think? You should try aspiring to more than not selling your striker to Championship rivals, there is more to football you know. Like how about 3 points tomorrow night? Nah, thought not.
I dont see us and Bristol as rivals, they wont get relegated but they wont threaten the top half while we will be pushing for top 2. Whats the difference to them if Maynard scores some goals for us and we get promoted
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is apparently for sale, has a better record at this level, is still only 25 believe it or not, and would cost less than Maynard. If Maynard comes then great but if not there are plenty of good options out there. I don't really think of Bristol as a rival either, they are just in the same division.
If Newcastle did come in I think they'd sell straight away because it's clear he won't sign a contract and it won't do their image as a club any harm.
