I thought you did fine. Any team up against City will have a fight, throw in that new chap, the one with the magic feet and a class or three above, you know who I mean, and most teams would lose. Were you 4 goals worse than City, no way, just met a man on fire.
Agreed! I think pretty much everyone thinks the same as you mate and i appreciate you coming over and making us feel a biit better while we lick our wounds. I think the only ones that will disagree are a few cardiff fans and the whole of the QPR fanbase lol
Hit the crossbar twice, Keeper made two superb saves. Swansea were lucky it wasn't 8. After 20 mins they hardly got past their halfway line and had one shot of note. They need to be so much better, it's not as if Man City destroyed anyone last season, when was the last time they won by four? Newcastle and Blackpool gave them good games and lost by the odd goal...
We had 58% possession going into half time. I'm glad it wasn't the other way around, it could have been ugly. We were comfortable with possession but just didn't have the tempo and flair to do anything with it. Aguerro was, well, amazing in a team of amazing players. He outshone Silva who was class. Man U, Chelsea et al are going to have be stunning to win the league over these guys. Possible - but that just illustrates the class at the top end of the league.
That was last season so means nothing, they are a totally different machine this Season! These cardiff supporters aint the brightest...Bless um.
Especially when he thinks that hitting the cross bar twice means that man city should have scored 8 , when I went to school 4+2=6, but hey ho must be different in kairdifff
Its all about opinions but I would bet if you take out the biased opinions of the swans and cardiff fans well ove 80% of people who actualy watched the game would agree with me, City were not 4 goals better.
OK I watched and enjoyed last night's game, as a Man City fan, not an anti Swansea thing, I don't think 4 - 0 was a fair relection of the game, and a lot of teams are going to get spanked at Man City, Swansea showed enough for me in the first half especially to suggest they could well survive in the premiership, and I think that they might well turn the Liberty into a bit of a fortress, and this home form could well be enough to keep them up. Positives for me as a relative "neutral" were that Swansea stuck to their principles and played their slick passing football, and Sinclair, and a few of the other Swans players didn't look overawed or out of their depth. Negatives, for all the Swans nice football, they seemed to lack a cutting edge at this level, and could struggle for goals, but then again they are not going to come up against defences as mean as Man City's every week. I think that the Swans might be a bit like Blackpool, they are going to win a lot of friends, but not many matches, unlike Blackpool though I don't think they will get relegated, because although it's early days I think there are three worse teams in the premiership than Swansea. Home form is going to be the key, if the Swans can sort that out, then they should be OK. Not a wum, just calling it as I see it, I hope they survive, it's going to be tough, and they might need to spend a few quid but I think they can do it. They might have to compromise their principles slightly, last night they sometimes tried to play TOO much football at times, the Man City defence showed that sometimes just putting your foot straight through the ball is the right thing to do. Again not a WUM, just an honest appraisal, I think you can survive, and hope you do, you got chucked in at the deep end, and most of the more realistic Swans fans realise that anything outside the bottom three is going to be "success" in your first season..................unlike the QPR fans the Swans and Norwich fans realise it's going to be a long hard slog...............enjoy your roller coaster ride
last night was an eye opener, man city were on a different level to us, we had some tidy possesion at times, but could'nt link with the forwards, maybe away against the better teams we should play joe allen instead of dobbie so we have more control in the middle, i'd also drop augustien back to play in front of the back 4.
Thanks prophet (man that hurt ) but I think you are bang on there , home form is key, can't see us getting anything from top 6 teams, well except Chelsea don't know why I just think we will get a point or two of em
HAHAHAHA!! Also we are in the best league in the world! Where are the blueturds!!?? City would put a rugby score on cardiff!
Actually , the "blueturds" as you put it have been quite sensible in the posts on most of the other threads. And this year they stand more of chance of having a successful season , as they don't have numpty Dave Jones in charge or a bunch of prima donnas out for fame and money. They actually have a team ethic this season , and I think it is starting to show under MM leadership. I for one would welcome a south wales premiership derby next season (if only because it means we have stayed up!!).
Sorry. I really believe we can stay up but we can do without them. We have enough on our plate without worrying about a local derby with all the pressure that brings. Don't kid yourself. They have lots of fans who'd like us to go out of existence even though many have been supportive on here to be fair. I've never bought into the 'good for Welsh football' argument at all. Both teams have been in the second tier for some years and yet Welsh football has never been at such a low ebb.
Cypruss cheers mate, good to have an unbiased opinion...................... please log in to view this image
I agree. Swans are in the Premier League and Wales lost to Australia. It seems that Swansea and Cardiff doing well is bad for Welsh football.
