Just taking in the weekends results, one thing seems obvious, the difference between success and failure is very fine.
Man U scraped a win in the 80th minute, Liverpool stumbled against the scum, and Arsenal didn't show us any reason why they are top4 material. Chelsea were ineffective and drew.
Teams like Newcastle, Villa and Stoke have been spending and improving squads....and will give most teams a good run when their first teamers are fit and gel together.
The newly promoted teams will ( history tells us) struggle to adapt.

My money is on us mid-table and playing attractive football once again. Our championship side is being broken up and the new lads all have pace, talent and age on their side. The thought of HBA, Cabaye and Obertan running amok fills me with joy.

These lads all want to prove themselves in a new light and we as fans can only sit back and take it all in.

I'm more optimistic for this season than I've been for ages.

Some optimism nice to see. IF we sign a couple more AND keep what we have i think we can do better than last year which in the clubs 5 year plan is the target so job done.

    Blimey.

Can it be? Is it? Why yes, yes it is! It's optimism!

Queue the parade! For the first time in a while we might be able to have one that isn't drenched in urine :)

If we sign a LB and a striker, then I'll share some optimism. Until then, I'll continue to foresee 15th place finish.
