Maybe they should chuck in a 60m bid for Alderweireld. At least then we could watch on in amusement.

 

There are three ways this can go.
1. He is talked down from his tree and returns to the fold for at least one season.
2. He becomes a complete arsehole and we sell him for a good price (which imo is 45/50 mill).
3. Some idiotic club (but not Liverpool) offer seriously stupid money (excess of 60 mill) and we pack his bags for him.

So you're setting the price TLL.? Value and price have little in common. If Saints don't want to sell then VVD could be priced at £100M. £70M is perfectly reasonable.

 

My standpoint throughout hasn't changed. I'd happily pay 50mil.

Yes he's one of the best CB's in the PL. But he's not at a 70mil level... but let's be honest here.. who is? No-one!

Man City set the bar for CB's last season when they paid £50 million for John Stones. By that reckoning, Virgil is worth £100 million+.

 

On Sky, Southampton accept Liverpool's apology and consider the matter closed.

 

He hasn't they are telling him to.

 

Now lets see if they are true to their word.

 

Then he should have told him to keep well out of it and leave it to him...should never have let his client meet up with another club's manager directly.
