With the much anticipated big kick off for the premier league finally getting underway this weekend this marked the beginning of our inaugural not606 championship on fantasy premier league. The Tiger nation has flocked in its numbers to win the City mini league with currently 89 entries. Many in the run up to the new season selected their teams early where other chose to leave it until the final few hours before the big kick off and may have been affected by a server error. The early pace setter is J Ma with his team MarkHull with a very impressive 80 points, this is mainly due to his defensive partnership of Cahill and Shawcross with the very bold move of captaining Shawcross paying dividends. Toon Tigers AFC is sitting in second with my favorite named side in third place 'I Predict a Fryatt' TigerMadd City is the early pacesetter in the race for the wooden spoon with a lowly 28 points. As the next game week approaches it will be interesting how many people make a mad dash for Aguero or follow MarkHull's lead and make a bold move and captain a defender. David Silva captain, that wasn't a bad choice. I've had a pretty decent week but find myself languishing in 15th, strong football knowledge obvious amongst City fans Should be a competitve league, I look forward to the coming weeks
I'm gonna stick without Aguero for now, i was fuming when Di Santo played instead of Rodallega for Wigan and even more unhappy when he came on at the end to earn 1 point, if he'd stayed on the bench i'd have got 6 points for Hughes coming in. Then again the guy in second had 17 points on his bench so i'd be pretty pissed off if i were him too!
