Bottling it...how about Bristol Rovers 1999/2000. In the promotion race all season but faltered into a likely play-off place, then losing that on the final day at Ninian Park to a already relegated Bluebirds side.

Everyteam has had their disappointments, and as an earlier poster said. I'd rather be up there to be disappointed rather than be nowhere. Bluebirds!

The thing is... Even if we do bottle it again as you put it, and fail to win promotion to the Premier League. We will still be a decent, ambitious championship club. And even if you win your league, you will at best be an average League 1 club.. My advice to you would be to concentrate on beating the likes of Hereford and Barnet and forget about the likes of us, as you are unlikely to get the honour of playing us anytime soon unless you are unfortunate enough to draw us in a cup. Run along now, and don't look down! (BSP) !!

Whether we get promoted to the prem or not (or 'bottle it' as you so cleverly thought of) it's a concept your little pub team will never be involved with. To answer your question though, just so you don't have to ask again, NO, we're not likely to bottle it again this season.

I assume you a missing a chromosome as you have to be a bit special to come on to the board of a team which is constantly challenging at the top of the league and WUM when you have just been relegated to the 4th tier of the league.
