No one joining Southampton is a big name that will join the top 6 anyway, and if they were, it will be because none of the top 6 bidded for them. Southampton normally buy cheap and sell expensive so i don't think anyone will be bothered. As for VVD, its his fault for signing such a big contract without a release clause. In any case i don't see him as the type of guy whos going to kick up a fuss.
you are right but the reality is that player if he's actually any good is going to have his pick of clubs. Look at how many dortmund hoovered up form under lfc noses last summer Southampton will be looking at the dregs... so bast of luck with that.
