Such is Newcastle Uniteds 'pulling power' we have players handing in transfer requests and going on strike in the hope of joining us. Crazy stuff. Im getting a bit optimistic about these possible transfers

I will admit this right now. I am going to be so ****ing jealous if you sign Cissokho.

Is it just me that thinks the move for Cissokho is just a feint to make PSV think we have other irons in the fire and not just Pieters, thus not having to pay full whack for him?

I think today could be interesting on the transfer front. In's not out's. :)

I'd suggest cynically that we're using the Cissokho business to get at PSV and put the pressure on for Pieters... would love to see either of them here to be honest.

Or perhaps we think Cissokho is better?

we really need to be signing these 2 in the next 24 hours to give them alittle time to settle for the weekend, more so the LB be it Pieters or Cissohko

I must admit, I haven't seen enough of either player to judge who's better but most people seem 100% positive that Cissokho kicks arse! Tbh I'd rather we just sign a decent LB before the Sunderland game.

I don't know if Cissokho will be playing at the age of 47 ;)

Uuuuhhhhmazin! trying so hard not to get hopes up! Aly Cissokho is an absolute steal at £7mill. I like the way someone suggested it fits with MA's buy and sell structure as Chelsea and Man Utd will be looking for left backs soon. If you are right then this is very smart business from MA. Showing reasons why he is a billionaire.

Day dreaming of Cissokho bombing down the wing, to Gutierrez who lays it back off to Cissokho. Cissokho dodges Brown, slides the ball to the edge of the box, Whipped into the top corner by Benni Arfa and GGGGGGGOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLLL. Benni's 3rd hat trick of the game against the Mackems @ St James Park. Nice

And we are dreaming again. Really hope the deluded Geordies tag isnt heading our way on this one again. About time we had some action not talk and rumour. Need some REAL offers put in and a LB and Striker signed NOW. Would take either Pieters or Cissokho but for gods sake hurry it up. Not sure about Maiga but if we got him and Maynard would be well happy, or is that me being deluded?

This isn't delusion in my opinion. We have been heavily linked with a player in the french media and we are hopeful it may be true. I think most people know that we are more than likely going to sign Pieters, but we can still dream. When we were linked with Ben Arfa last year people thought there is no way he would join us and they thought we were being deluded and we signed him! Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism.

Also, if we signed Maynard and Maiga and got rid of Lovenkrands, I'd deem that as being a successful transfer window!

We really need to put the wheels in motion today and push through the transfer(s) for Thursday at the latest if we are to through them into a baptism of fire on Saturday.

My name is overseasTOON and I have fallen off the non-deluded bandwagon.

I'm not getting back on. It's dull as dishwater.
