Looks like we've poured cold water on the rumours of Lukaku to United, so it's got to be Chelsea.

    Not sure how to feel.
I think United's No. 1 choice was Griezemann, he put the kabosh on that when Atletico's transfer ban was upheld, so you switched to Lukaku.
I think Lukaku's preferred choice is Chelsea, but Chelsea want Alvaro Morata, and Morata wants to come to Chelsea as well by all accounts.
    I have a headache.

Personally though, and I have been saying this for the last year.....Rashford is the real deal. I think United should keep Zlatan for another season as back up/ rotating with Rashford.
Rashford, if given minutes, I am certain will become an awesome player.

Too many rumours flying around for me, to know what to believe. We've got a few youth players looking to break into the side, so hopefully they're making it a tough decision for Jose and he's not just ignoring them.

I really like Icardi from Inter, I'd be happy to go for him.

Lukaku i hope doesn't come. I think he's a pretty good striker but he's not someone i would like at Chelsea. Maybe he doesn't get the service but he just doesn't do it in the big games. Especially for that ridiculous price for him

    Would much prefer Morata.

I'm sensing that Chelsea fans are a little underwhelmed with rumours of Lukaku returning.

    You'd be right.

He scores goals of course, but not sure he has the finesse of a top level striker. Would genuinely rather start with Costa again next year and Lukaku would be a step backwards for us.

Plus, it doesn't look good having sold him only 2 years ago!

I don't know what it is, but I'd tend to agree.

There's probably better out there, for the figures being quoted.

Wonder if it'll be Lukaku & Costa together? Conte has always favourred a 3-5-2 so maybe those two with Hazard in behind?

Still a little bit underwhelming and as said above, doesn't seem to do it in big games. Would prefer Morata if we got one of them but even he's expensive.

Wonder if Jose could be toying with the idea?

I hope we don't sign him. Yes he scores goals but I don't think he's the type of player to score big goals against the big teams. We're talking champions league and the top of the Prem. No disrespects to Everton, but our expectation levels are a lot higher than theirs.

Thing is mate the transfer market is crazy, if we want Morata, which I do personally, it'll be around 60-70m I reckon.

Tobes...I mean Everton.....will want that much for Lukaku probably.
Given the choice I don't know what I would go for to be honest.....
Morata who plays in a gimp league, spoon fed service by the most creative attacking team, in the world, against ****ty defences in a league where they dont know the meaning of the word defence.

Or Lukaku, a first touch like a rapist, bull in a china shop, but PL proven....

Not quite sure why Morata would be more likely to score in "big games". Lukaku hasn't scored in the Champions League solely because he has never played in the Champions League, so he can hardly be blamed for that.

The part after the bold is correct though, if you remove the 'and' and 'not' <ok>

BTW - Bope your signature isn't very well thought out for people at work mate. I'm not sure how many times people have said this.

I bet you still have posters of women on your bedroom wall?

I just think Morata would suit our style of play better than Lukaku. At the very top level, you need a striker who can hold the ball up and bring team mates into the game as well as scoring goals. Have you watched Lukaku playing for Belgium? I hardly ever notice that he's on the pitch tbh.

Maybe Conte will swtich to a 3-5-2 and play Morata AND Lukaku <laugh>
    He does like that formation.
