Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, has reacted to criticism directed his way by Gunners fans during the team's 0-0 draw against Newcastle. "I heard what the fans were singing about me on saturday and it is really disrespectful because i'm still a arsenal player," the 24-year-old tweeted.

I've no idea what was being sung.
However the guy has refused to extend contract these last 2 years - for the money. Plenty of sides would want him - but its ManC & £180k per week?
OK Nasri - shall we assume you are re-signing with AW?

I was going to ask the exact same thing? What was being sung at the weekend?

He is still an Arsenal player (so would never boo him etc) but has never come out publically with any desire to stay or loyalty? what does he expect from some corners of supporters

Then that was totally out of order. Fans should be ashamed.

If they were shouting 'Judas - take the money' that might be fair do..s

lol not the most subtle is it. I guess Nasri will end up like another Arsenal hate figure like Adebayor......

Seriously though, if he was waiting on Wenger to buy players in to decide to stay, then im fine by that. Infact, most of us Arsenal fans are peeved at Wengers reluctance to buy!

I think it's quite funny tbh. If he wanted to be here, he'd have signed already. If he's still with us by the end of the transfer window, then we can only assume that nobody wants to meet his ridiculously high wage demands.

He will in all probability double his money at Mad Citeh,

But by what factor will his chances of Silverware increase by?

Anyone who sees this as plain greed needs to get a grip, they also offer a far greater sporting opportunity, have a vastly superior and better balanced Squad of 25, and he would be fool to turn down such a move even if it was for the SAME wages offered by Wenger.

David Schofield - so all players are mercenaries? We should not expect any level of loyalty. What a grim prospect.

Why don't we fans just change allegiance every week to the team who are top of the League?

I wouldnt mind betting Nasri will now use the Arsenal fans as an excuse for him wanting to leave the club.I'm just waiting for him to say"I would have stayed but the fans didn't want me anymore"

Back to the Question - is Nasri going to extend- or sit it out for another year?

Has he submitted a transfer request? I don't think so - he wants the percentage when Arsenal sell him.
As much as I think he is good for us, we have to let go - £22m may be the best offer from ManC- which is the biggest payer to players.
Seems he has had his head turned in that direction.
    Funny that!

I'm torn on this one. As much as it's no good having a player who doesn't want to play for you, Nasri has never come out and said that he wants a move.
He's stalled on his contract, but that's not the same thing.
Also having just lost Fabregas, can we afford to lose another top player?
But if he does want out, then we should cash in and move the **** on.

As far as I can see- he wants money and possibly titles. Now he accepts thats not going to happen under Wenger.
So he is entitled to want to move on - but should declare it and ask for a transfer.

The filth fans reputedly chanted (?) is awful - he does not deserve that.

Now that Cesc is gone, if Wenger really wanted to keep Nasri he could up his wages in an attempt to keep him not to mention using his 'French Connection'

The trouble is Nasri obviously doesn't believe Wenger can sort it and wants out.

The problem is Wenger not Nasri and until he goes nothing will change.
