That's a big call when as I mentioned Liverpool were linked and they're playing CL. If he does well at a stoke or soton and gets an England call up it wouldn't be hard to imagine he'd get a chance at a spurs or United. Spurs are pretty heavily linked this window and seem to like having an English core.
Harry is a decent player, and has done well for us ( a mediocre PL team). He does not exhibit the potential or class that Rio Ferdinand, John Terry,Sol Campbell, Terry Butcher or Tony Adams plus many others did at equivalent ages. IMO not even as good as Cahill , Steve Bruce (never capped !), or Gary Pallister. Paper talk about top 6 clubs being interested is just that. It hasn't happened, and I doubt it will. Perhaps a mid-table team may come in for him, but it's unlikely he'll ever get an England cap. I hope he does, but I can't see it. 20 million is not going to happen.
he won't ever play at anywhere near the top level this talk about him is laughable in my honest opinion, said it many times people really think chelsea will buy maguire? alderweireld is miles above his level, and spurs won't replace him with maguire or man united i know it's romantic that city has this amazing player but it's just not the case he will live out his career at the stokes or west brom, which is a big achievement in itself, but he's a long way off being at even the top of the english game
Just curious, but do you think Keane is miles ahead of where maguire will ever be? Keane has already been capped and it's looking likely United will buy him.
no i don't but i'm saying defenders is mostly about partnership and man united are a long way from even challenging champions league level man united tried phil jones, they tried smalling.. and now keane.. they won't challenge champions league level with that defence i promise you ramos is an utter **** but he's a ****ing master him and varane are like a dream team
Guess it depends on what you think reaching the top level is. I'd say winning the PL or playing in the Champions League is the top level.
i just honestly think he won't i mean playing in CL doesn't rlly count i mean look at some of the **** teams that do i'd say COMPETING in the cl counts
It still amazes me how people define a player's perceived quality by the clubs he is 'linked' to. After all this time, do people still not know how the vast majority of these transfer stories surface?
No, I don't think it's a stretch to see him playing for one of the best clubs in England within the next 3-4 season at his current trajectory.
