I'd have to sack some of my staff.

The butler will probably stay but the valet and footmen I'd have to release.

Poor show but thems the breaks.

There shouldn't be a minimum wage. If an employer can only afford to pay a **** wage, they will get what they pay for. If an employee is willing to accept such a **** wage, that's entirely their choice. And if it happens, at least it's some less burden on the state.

Better for all concerned if somebody works for two cans of beans a day and gets one more can of beans from the state, than doing **** all and getting two cans of beans from the state every day.

So if a cleaner/ cucumber picker/ care assistant gets Corbyns £10 an hour or 20k per year( based a 40 hour week) why would an administrator, account managers etc with far more responsibility work for the same amount?
They wouldn't and would demand a pay rise or leave for a less responsible job.

A lot of salaries would have to be hiked up by 1/3 to compensate.

    Businesses would go bust.

    FACT.

They don't need to, they're already in government and are basically just saying that they'll carry on doing what they're doing already.

They said this when min wage was first introduced and businesses didn’t fold.

People need to earn a decent wage. They earn and they’ll spend and the govt. won’t have to top up ****ing wages continuously.

Labour have said they’ll introduce tax relief for businesses to help them cope by the way.

It may shock a lot of people on here, but I’m prepared to pay more tax to make Britain fairer.

    Unbelievable isn’t it?

I’m prepared to have less money in my pocket to help make our country better.

    Mental.

Money that'd help kids (1 in 4 children experience poverty in this country – the 5th richest in world)

Money that will help kids learn (OECD in 2016 ranked Britain as having the lowest levels of literacy in the developed world).

    I could go on.

If all you’re interested in is making a bit more cash and **** everyone else, then this isn’t for you.

Anyone who remembers the 70's should be massively against nationalisation, services were ****, infrastructure was underfunded and some industries (like cars) were decimated.

    And I'm skint.

Not to mention the £5.5k increase in wages and NICS for each employee over the current rate. Either 1 in 4 employees loses their job, or I lose my annual jaunt to the Maldives.

    Tough decision... <whistle>
