I think it's a good price. I like Curtis - but there's too many mistakes in him as a player. He's 32 and he's lost his edge in my opinion. Derby must be aiming for the slowest defence in the Championship. They've already got Keogh - Christ - they'll need to measure the 100 metre sprint in minutes.
500k release clause? thats too low if you ask me... surely £2m ish is a more realistic price for a defender of his experience and ability.
If we had a Dawson Davies centre half pairing for the new season with potentially Marshall in goal - We'd be up **** creek without a paddle.
We know £15m buys you a full Championship player - so for £500k I reckon you get a toe. Any toe, but not much else.
I think he's got more pace than Dawson. I still think of the dying minutes of the PO final against Wednesday!
