When have England ever qualified easily in a tournament....2 consecutive wins unheard of....when they could take it to the wire on Saturday.

 

Just said on Sky that we wouldn't want Australia to go out because of the weather. Who are we? I would rather annihilate them of course, but I could tolerate them going out by sheer bad luck.

 

NZ 64-2 after 14.3 overs. Good bowling by Ball and Wood, followed up by Stokes and Plunkett.

 

We are behind on DLS , not that it has Rained , yet....

Hmmm, this pitch reminds me of last season's Glamorgan v Hampshire One Day match which was abandoned after Adams got one from Hogan that reared up off the surface and hit him on the helmet. The pitch isn't quite as dangerous as it was that day but Williamson copped one on the helmet and the pitch is showing similar traits. The groundstaff have to very careful otherwise they will lose all international cricket.

 

RR goes over 10 with 11 overs left. England using the pitch well, although I agree with Tom that it isn't an international standard wicket.

I actually think this would be perfect. It would really give them something to bleat about.

 

I can live with it* I hope we don't take our foot off the pedal...let's make it 3 wins on Saturday.

*However, I hope weather doesn't ruin the tournament...a lot of work has gone into it and a lot of tickets sold.
