Wolves have pulled out of a proposed £1.5m deal to sign Derby County forward Andreas Weimann permanently. Wagner has agreed a new long term deal at Huddersfield.
Everyone seems to forget that Harry was only a regular for us since Marco took over. He's really only had 6 months of PL football, and not that much in the championship either. To get around £20m for him is fantastic.
That's simply not true, he was a regular for us all last season (36 appearances) and the season before (33 appearances).
No, he wasn't. He wasn't first choice until Silva came in. Davies and Dawson were beforehand. (He started 25 this year and 17 last year in the league. Over half this year but we had like 3 players but not last season. He played second fiddle
GLP and PLT should get a room to discuss their new bromance. They both have three letter monikers with an L & a P in common.
I'm not biting. Though as our potential new manager used to be a goalkeeper - I'm sure he'll very quickly be able to evaluate which keepers we need to keep and which ones we need to sack off. It will literally take him minutes.
Easier said than done. Not easy to get rid of the keepers we don't want. There's going to be a lot more interest in the keeper/(s) we want to keep
But if we're still paying his wages, it defeats the objective. I'd be delighted if we sold Marshall and McGregor so that we were left with Mannion and Eldin
That's my preference - we agree on something! It happens in football - if we are serious about trying for promotion, then unfortunately for me Marshall cannot be considered. It simply hasn't worked for him here. Best off if he starts afresh somewhere else with a clean slate. It happens in football, it's no disgrace. Hopefully with a fresh start he can find some form and prove himself.
Of Phelan's 24 games in charge last season, he started 13 and came on as a sub in another four. Marco started him very game he was available for, but he was certainly no bit-part player under Phelan.
