Mate we are not going to meet teams like city every week, they are a class apart, think I have just wasted a tenner on them not winning any cups this season lol
thought this was a good match for the swans. mancini was that worried that he was forced to bring on AGUERRA (A 38 MILLION SQUID SIGNING) to make sure he negated the threat of the fabulous swans. (yes i know its tounge in cheek, before some muppet starts to bitch, but considering this one player could buy 3 swansea teams it shows we must have been doing something right. well played to vorm, superb game i thought very happy with him. ah well its wigwam next week looking forward to a good game.
they would put double figures on cardiff...in fact we would also.....so thank your lucky stars your not in the premiership and we are, we put in a good show against the next premiership champions.....
Ok, back from the pub. Pissed, disappointed but proud. Let's analyse the standard of quality in opposition shall we? Hart Richards Lescott Kompany Clichy De Jong Toure Barry Silva Johnson Dzeko Look at that team. Each one of those players is amongst the best in the world, realistically. We've done, so, so well to get into a position to be competing against these players, and a 4-0 loss away from home isn't going to change my opinion of whether we can stay up or not. To be honest, I'm more convinced now than I was at the beginning of the game, that we can stay up. Play like that against 6 or 7 lower Premier League teams and we'll be alright. STID.
great effort from the lads and the last 15 or so minutes we went a bit awry, once they had the first lucky goal then i think the players lost their shape. that can be worked on and they know there wont be many games where we will be such underdogs. there were plenty of positives that will give all concerned the management, players and the fans that we will do well this season. well played swans and well captained tatey.....
they would get more than 10 goals against cardiff.....in fact so would we. its just a shame you bottle it every season that your not in our class.....and never will be...
pmsl sorry that cracked me up, the fact that : Location : Ibiza - on your profile passed by titjohn just proves he is a tit lol
Oh dear oh dear, looks like we've been replaced at the bottom. can't wait for those easy points off you again this season.
You lost 4-0 to an ordinary looking Bolton side, we lost to a side with the best players in the world in, they would put double that against your side who capitulated against Bolton. We will take all 6 points off you as you have a worse side than when you went up enjoy 19th, this is only time you will be so high in the league
Another tosser let out from Wormwood scrubs, they are gifted with many in the Bush, the whole club are a joke! loopy Hoopies aye................ please log in to view this image
I think you did fine. But you all seem to be treating Manchester City as somebody who should be winning 4-0. For the whole of last season they just beat 2 teams by 4 goals or more. So there needs to be some concern over the margin, especially as your keeper was so good and kept it to 4. I am sure you will improve as the season goes on. It will be tough, but you must get some early point son the board otherwise motivation will start to slip. Anyway, good luck and I am sure you will know better after Wigan and Sunderland how things may pan out.
Manchester didn't have aguero in the side last year , and I wouldn't bet against other sides getting spanked this season, no disgrace to lose last night , this is another step on the journey
No they had Tevez u mutant, joint top scorer in the league.**** me Aguero was only on for 25 minutes, your goalie and the woodwork stopped this from being an absolute mauling.
God help you then...Let's see how many points you need to stay up just before the last game of the season! Is it home or away ? Hold on , I'll just have look. Unlucky its an Away match...now let's see who you are playing? Oh dear !!!!
I normally wouldn't bother with this but as certain people seem hell bent on chalking up each and every chance Man City had and trying to turn into a goal, let's not forget that the cross for Silva's goal was clearly out of play, witnessed by the cameras and several national newspapers. It's hard enough playing class teams like that without them getting the benefit of such decisions as well. Super team and well deserved their victory but, somehow, 0-3 would have seemed so much better than 0-4. Hey, ho, let's hope we get our fair share this season. Every little helps.
ivoralljack sorry but Aguero caught the ball before all of it crossed the line so the ball was still in play, blame the defence for not playing to the whistle. for your information Gary Neville even said that the ball was still in play, and we all know what a staunch red he was, so if he said it was a good goal who are you to argue with that.
tevezrightboot, I would never presume to argue with GN over football matters but my eyesight is probably as good as his and, imo, all the ball did cross the line. Also, as I stated, a number of newspapers agree that the ball was out. At best it was highly contentious either way and, as history categorically proves, the bigger teams invariably get those sort of decisions. Your point about Gary Neville (staunch red) is irrelevant, really. He is now a retired footballer seeking media work. It is in his best interests to play the diplomat so I suspect that he might have had this in mind. Who knows? But I certainly wouldn't accept his word as Gospel just because he's Gary Neville. Point is, I was playing, watching and writing about football years before he became boss tadpole in his father's wedding tackle. As for the game, your lads were worthy winners and showed the quality that billionaire owners can buy. No sour grapes from me; it was a pleasure to see how our lads would compete and we saw the result. It's a pity that we had to play you in our first game - tough ask as we found out. It will be very interesting, though, to see how the return fixture pans out. I'm absolutely making no predictions, other than it will be another tough game for us, but we will be better equipped for it. We will have strengthened our team significantly; we will have learned lessons and gained experience of the demands of the Premier League and, of course, we will be playing at home. We still might lose but I'm sure that Man City will have to work a lot harder than they did last night. As for the rest of the season both our teams have targets to achieve: your lot to be crowned champions, my guys to survive. I won't begrudge you succeeding and I hope we do too.
Well I thought that ball was well out too, but I've not checked the video replay or read opinions yet, but it was a tough call for the lines man, but there you go that's football, the score line did flatter Man city some what, but the overall result was never in doubt, if we are honest! Good game though................. please log in to view this image
