Mate, we've got empty steel foundries all over the country too but it doesn't mean we have a steel inferstructure anymore. We don't have prison officers or money to run our the prisons we already have. We live under a government who cuts services. Tories will stay in, extremist and hate preachers will go in normal understaffed prisons where they will carry on their work and increase the problem from our prisons. For what it's worth I think an off shore prison for immigration is a good idea, it would complement the extra prisons I'd like built to deal with our homegrown criminals. But we've got more chance of prisons with wings flying out of our arseholes and setting up facilities.
