I'm not at all disappointed with his appointment, I'd have preferred Monk, but this was probably the next best option.

I do like the fact he was a keeper - should definitely recognise what's worth keeping and what's worth disposing of in our goalkeeping ranks. Should take him 20 minutes from the out takes of last season.

Hoping this gives us some quality Chelsea loan signings that are proper fringe players.

Something exciting to look forward to. Not sure on the potential of a DOF? Not fully convinced it works to be honest. But time will tell.

This makes me think that they may be looking to get the club back up at the first opportunity. Slutsky certainly talks a good game - impressed that he's got a good command of English after only 5 months. Wish I could speak French as fluently after 5 months!

Equally GLP, I just wonder what his street crew is like on two fronts back home. Will players from CSKA follow as an example ad perhaps more importantly if promoted would £100 million circa to buy the club be loose change to one of Abramovich's cohorts..

The problem with the Russian players coming here is that they would require work permits and it's not very likely that the players in the current Russia set up would play for us, which means that getting a work permit would prove difficult. The wages over there are pretty high, so any players coming in would probably be loans.

My memories of Russia are good, but I was only there for a few weeks.Brezhnev era, certainly backward in the sense of workwise ,twenty people unloading a truck passing the goods from one to the other.
But I found the people hospitable, in Leningrad ,as it was then, I found a packed bar.Obviously the first thing you look for when you go in is bar staff, well there was no staff.A vending machine dispensed the beer, and the Ruskies didn't wash their glasses.Went by myself but met up with some Palace supporters of all things.
Anyway a different time, but they were certainly proud of their country, and the cemetery with over a million dead from war was moving. And before anyone says it Stalin killed a few more.
If it is true about him being appointed manager will his training methods be drastically different from Silva.i have a good feeling but i always am positive about City despite following them for 50 odd years

The English translation version is a hilarious read:

    Edit:

Slutsky - the trainer "Hull". What kind of club?
Tags Marco Silva Hull D2 England Leonid Slutsky
Nikita Kiselyov - a new work of the former coach of CSKA.

Since June, Leonid Slutsky received permission to work in England - it was the last formality for a man cooking himself for the biggest challenge of his career.

Specifics closer. On Monday morning, a number of British newspapers, including the authoritative The Independent, said: Leonid Slutsky, head the "Hull" . The official announcement should be expected next week.

Earlier Sports.ru wondering what purpose in the UK can get the most ambitious Russian coach. Among the options proposed was not specifically "Hull", but were Championship clubs. Some of them - serious problems in the manual.

Off from the Premier League, "Hull" is just one of them.

Hull stayed in the lead for a long time a survey on the worst choices for life in England. Finally fix the scall smelling fish managed to place the book "50 most slop UK cities." It Hull took first place.

But life refuses to stand still, and even from a hole like Hull could come good news. The re-release of the 2013 Hull fell outside the top-50 sucks, and this year is Kingston upon Hull is going through in the status of the cultural capital of the UK. Not everyone understood the decision to give it the title of Hull, but the program of events is definitely changing the image of the city for the better. In the end it was once a rewarder of legendary local pies and chips.

Egyptian businessman Assemu Allam and his son Ehab on such a jump can not count in the perception. If someone zasyadet for a book about the most slop methods of managing football clubs, for Allama booked one of the top places.

Assem Allam had all the chances to remain in the memory of the savior. In 2010, he wrote a check for 40 million and pulled "Hull" of the abyss, cover the debt. Under him the club got into the FA Cup final and played 3 seasons in the top flight - they have ever gained only 5 more Assem never spared no expense for the city - for example, invested in the hospital. All went to the fact that the posters thanked the Egyptian and will hang in the stadium and at City Hall, but ...

Attempting to change the "Hull" was the name of a very bad idea and the point of no return.

In the view of Allama name "Hull Tigers" would make the club attractive to international and business investment, along with old-fashioned attachment "City" to get rid of the British provincialism. Not rated any fans (mass protests and rejection of subscriptions) or league (two blocked attempts to change the name).

Allama anger knew no bounds. When the fans at home games, sang "I'll stay," City ", until I die," the millionaire hissed through his teeth: "They can die at will." And when in September 2014 the officials again rejected the application for re-branding, and it became clear that nothing will come of Assem, he made a promise - club will be sold for 24 hours.

    Buyers are looking so far.

During this time the family of Allama (the case because of the health problems leads Ehab Allam) out American and Chinese investors. Last summer it seemed that the protracted history, finally coming to a head. Great interest shown Dai Yong and Dai Li Xu (fabulously wealthy brother and sister who bought "Reading" a couple of weeks ago), but in the end the deal fell through. According to rumors, potential owners could not meet the demands of the Premier League.

"Hull" is still for sale. In the meantime, Allama hoard points hatred. Relatively fresh occasion - change the traditional season ticket system. Benefits lost children and old fans - and that very few people liked.

"Hull" took 18th place, and flew out of the Premier League. Given the way the club was preparing for the last season I was very lucky that there were guys in the league even more hopeless ( "Sunderland") and boring ( "Middlesbrough").

In the first round of the championship was beaten "Leicester" - and it looked like a miracle from the team, who had spent the worst mezhsezonku in the history of the Premier League . General condition perfectly described the words of the declaration of trust of the fan: "No communication, no coach, no interaction, no transfers, no personality, no concessions, no honesty." Before the start left Stiv Bryus - he has got that new players promises remain only promises. Bugger off and the star Mohamed Dia - Senegalese prefer to stay another year in the Championship with the "Newcastle". A failure transfer company (what to think about strengthening if Allama heads were clogged with the club preparing to sell), and an epidemic of injuries made the bid, "Hull" very very modest and reduced to zero the chances of survival.

"Hull" said goodbye to the Premier League murderous defeat 0: 4 and 1: 7, but between them and the first half of the season, held in suspended animation, fit an amazing 5-month adventure, which resulted in "Hull" barely escaped.

    The last coach
Slutsky - the fourth coach of "Hull" for the year.

First, Steve Bruce was replaced by Mayk Felan. A former assistant to Ferguson's something that happened - "Hull" popped into League Cup semi-final, and the Phelan received the award for the best manager in August - but by January the situation in the table has already looked sentence. To everyone's surprise (especially for English TV-experts) in the "hull" came Marco Silva, who previously worked in Portugal, who took the title with "Olympiakos".

For 139 days and 18 matches in the "Halle" Silva picked up 21 points. The house was beaten "Liverpool", but with "Old Trafford" managed to get out alive, but poor form in away games is not allowed to reach the bail-17th place.

Silva gave a decent impulse sinking team and deserved sympathy in correspondence dispute with the "Swansea" (when in point about the struggle for survival more text than that of Ibrahimovic and Terry, it's about saying something). In contrast to the "Hull" Mark stayed in the Premier League. Now he's in "Watford".

    Oh, that's a problem.

In January Silva sold Jake Livermore, a man with a difficult life , and genius, but has a fragile health Roberta Snodgrassa. In exchange, the Portuguese pulled in "Hull" Andrea Ranocchia, Oumar Niasse, Lazar Markovic and midfielder dimensional Alferda Ndiaye. All four have been leased. All four next season on "Key Si Stadium" will not. The club decided not to buy them - well, let's believe, if everyone wanted to play chempioshipe.

It makes sense to put in the care of Camille Grostsikogo. Poland midfielder was desperately steep in the last six months - look for it in clubs decently.

Sources The Telegraph claim that leave the "Hull" and gain a foothold in the Premier League going young Andy Roberston and Harri Maguayr and Sam Klukas. Work that confronts Russian coach, called one word - restructuring.

Most importantly, Tom Haddlstoun are still in business.

    Money
In the era of TV-space agreements, even to be a loser in the Premier League - it is very, very profitable. Taking off, "Hull" last season earned 97 million pounds. The bank account will fall 47 "parachute" for millions the coming season and 38 for 2018/19 - special payments, aimed at, to a farewell to the Premier League was not for the teams of financial turmoil.

Plus money for possible transfers Robertson and McGuire. A good idea.

    Tasks

Tabloids write about the desire to return as quickly as possible Allama "Hull" in the Premier League.

    Good luck.

It will be daunting. The need to rebuild the team, the administrative chaos, opposed to fans of the owner - too many "cons". Even if we are talking about the league, from which managed to get the team to the 19th budget .

I've never been to Russia, but their streets and road markings are remarkably similar to ours.

Even in google translated pigeon English, that is an infinitely better piece than anything I've ever read from a British source.

And people criticise the Russian press...

In Soviet times, all towns had a building called "The Grafton", were people would gather for Vodka, kossak performances and a tune on the balalaika.... By law they had to have a clapped-out Micra in front of them.

If it's true he's been having intensive English lessons since January - it shouldn't be too much of a barrier. In the Telegraph article he was talking about having trouble with dealing with the passive voice. If he's at that level of accuracy - he can function well enough.

His English is good enough to crack jokes about his last name, I think he'll be fine. Unless vernacular was the first thing he learned. [emoji14]
