Yeah the Liverpool fans i know mainly want to sign a LB so Milner can switch to RB and they can bin Clyne
Saints are not the only selling club in the PL although some on here would like to believe it. I just wonder what Real Madrid would give to get hold of Harry Kane and I firmly believe they will next year should he remain in good goal scoring form for club and country. It would do both HK and English football a power of good as he would join the best side in the world, be surrounded by excellent players, have access to the best trainers and facilities on the planet and at the same time gradually learn another language.
I don't think that's what they're interested in. I think they want proven PL performers, and would like to buy these players after a season or two with the best of the rest. They could easily have a policy of investing in scouting - it was no secret that Wanyama and VVD were destined for greatness.
I'd just like to remind everyone how many goals Liverpool scored against us last season, and how many times they played at Wembley.
You can't say that with certainty. A fall from upper mid table to bottom 3 can happen very quickly in this league. I would personally.
The ghost of Brendon just whispered something to me about ambition, and I'm struggling to disagree with him.
If Celtic do have 20% then that does make a difference to the fee imo. Wonder if it's full 20% or just on the profit.
It won't make a difference to his market value though. The sell-on fee is the price you pay for getting him relatively cheaply in the first place. If we sell, we might ask for a sell-on clause, or demand a higher price without one.
50m is so last summer. We need to make this so difficult for them. Five years left on his deal, injured for the last six months, another captain, we don't want to take this lying down. Lets get nasty.
... but what if a condition of him signing the long contract was that we would sell him if an offer of £50Mcame in?
Excuse me. I have a £20 bet with a bloody annoying armchair scouser that VVD isn't going to Liverpool. I don't give a **** about the money, but this guy is irksome. So come on Virgil, sign for City.
What is £40m though. He's our captain. We've been nursing him back to fitness for 6months. He's our top earner and one year into a massive six year deal. Fellow saints, stop selling yourselves short. Virgils don't come round that often, don't wish them away too easily. **** 40. Break the bank or ****off l'pool.

Interesting. The Echo have obviously spoken to someone at the club. Doesn't mean nothing will happen, but nothing has happened so far. I would believe it if we hadn't been here before. Still I'll go with the happy version as it is getting late.
