What I know about I.T. you could write on the back on a postage stamp and still have a fair bit of space left. But if its deactivated or ‘not live’ (I’ve really no idea what I’m talking about but hope I’m making a modicum of sense) for a period of time then the firewall ain’t worth that much I wouldn’t have thought. If I’m on then the firewall ain’t ‘active’. But I can’t read that Racing Post page though so I’m guessing it’s activated against that.

I’ve just re-read the above and I think it (just) makes sense. But forgive the horrendous 21st century language.

I'm guessing Pork Pie means lie. People, please stop that horrendous Cockney language. It brings on one of my heads.

But I'm afraid I don't know enough about I.T. to lie!

Modest e/w punt on Canary Row in the next (16:40) at Gowran Park. Draw not so good but looks suited to distance and ground conditions.

    SAFE VOYAGE - Ayr 8:25 - 16/1

Don't quite understand the price on this one (currently 16/1 with Paddys). Just as effective on turf as on tapeta, form reads as well as anything else in the race to me, 7lb claimer on board more a positive than a negative. Reckon he'll try to make all and stayed the 8.4f last time well enough - i'd be surprised if three go past him up the straight so with 8 runners worth a little each way bet.

Thanks Swanny. I think any bank holiday is party time here to be fair, then again, it doesn't take much of an excuse to head out for a few too many pints from time to time. I think most European countries have today off after Pentecost Sunday.

I'll change the read of the race to 'reckon he'll be held up and pass everything up the straight'!
