You might be right....But I understand the criteria for giving work permits to non EU nationals had recently become more difficult. Unless the person has a rare skill/ qualifications etc that make him/her valuable to the country then it is, (quote) extremely difficult for non EU citizens to get a work permit. I doubt if a manager of a football team comes under Rare skill...but we'll see.
I believe the rules state they must be “internationally established at the highest level”, which probably qualifies him.
He'll have done his homework on that question, presumably knows the positive answer otherwise why would he have come over here 5 months ago ? Edit: See OLM's post above
Good question TC...There are a lot of Russians in the UK. Granted. Most are super wealthy. But how many of them work for a living?..Maybe not that many. Maybe Roman thinks he's got the influence to sway the panel, he may have the conkers, he may not...I don't think it as easy as some think. So maybe its a tad premature for some to begin putting the lyrics of songs together in praise of the new boss..
That's if we get him, he's also being linked with palace as well according to humberside, but there again they told us that the Allams deal to buy city had fallen through an hour before it went through.
No ****er had heard of him a couple of weeks ago now he's Ferguson and Ancelotti rolled into one according to some on here. He knows **** all about the English game, will have a ****e squad to work with and will fail. Mark this post.
There is hardly a warm relationship between the UK and Russia at the moment. But this could be the ice breaker Putin and May are looking for. Maybe Boris Johnson will be put in charge of negotiations and rubbing stamping his work permit ..followed by an invitation for Putin to visit the UK to watch City next season. He'll soon become No1 celeb fan. the possibilities are endless. Maybe the Russian Navy will soon be docking in KG Dock
