Its a damaged ligament in his foot, I don't think that's the type of injury that will affect him long term
No you don't, that will only be known in the fullness of time. But its not stopping interest in him from top clubs and they would certainly consider these things before expressing interest
True, but LFC doctors and physio's etc. will be looking at this no doubt. I don't think its like a damaged knee ligament for instance
Most of Sturridge's injuries haven't been big either, and VD has been unavailable even more than him And Sturridge can make a big impact with cameos but we need reliability for a CB, let alone the most expensive CB in history
i'm still not convinced we are going to make a serious attempt at buying VVD if the £50m is accurate particulrly after the Lovren contract.
£50m is a massive amount, I don't want us going above that figure at all. Like mito says, if we can get £25m or £30m for Sakho then it would all feel like better business
why give him new contract then making him less desirable to purchasers & costing a tidy wedge as a signing on fee ?
Liverpool are confident they will keep hold of Emre Can and believe a £35 million deal for Mohamed Salah is nearing completion, reports say. The Reds have been locked in negotiations with Roma over Salah in the last week and have already had one offer knocked back. But, Liverpool are ready to tie up the transfer and hope a £35 million deal can be done in the next week. Salah’s agent has been in London for talks and the Egypt international is keen on a transfer back to the Premier League after a short spell at Chelsea.
Liverpool chiefs to meet with French strikers representatives this week to try to complete £50M move to Anfield please log in to view this image 04 June at 16:15 According to Express Sport, Liverpool are ready to move quickly to try to nip in and take French striker Alexandre Lacazette from under the noses of both Arsenal and Manchester United. The journal reports that Anfield chiefs are heading across The Channel this week for a meeting with the 26-year-old’s representatives to try to close out a £50M deal. Lacazette, who once again rifled in the goals for Lyon last season scoring 37 in all competitions, looked set to be heading to Atletico Madrid but with the Spanish club having their transfer embargo upheld, his future now lies elsewhere. Arsenal have been long time admirers and were reportedly close to signing him last summer; Manchester United meanwhile, are looking for alternatives to Antoine Griezmann who has pledged his immediate future to Atletico. Lyon are still hopeful he will remain with them next season but it’s looking almost certain that he will leave as he reportedly wants to play in the Champions League. At the moment, only Manchester United out of his three pursuers can guarantee that.
Atletico wanted him, but the transfer ban put an end to that and thankfully put an end to the Griezman to utd rumours too. Surely utd might now be interested in Lacazette? Its the same as Abamayang though, if he and Lacazette are available this summer, we are stupid if we don't at least try to sign one of them.
