Media outlets reporting major incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market. A van deliberately driven into pedestrians on London Bridge and multiple stabbings at Borough Market, along with sustained gunfire.
False alarm in Vauxhall apparently. Seems to be centred in the area south of London Bridge on the bridge itself and at Borough market.
Sounds absolutely awful. Witnesses saying three men going through bars stabbing people after running down half a dozen in a van.
This is my manor. Absolutely terrifying incidents, and awful for the people involved. ****ing ****ers who did this, lowlife scum.
I must ask, considering all the attacks and the, frankly, amateurish manner of them, does anyone still think they planned 911? there will be many more, of course, the media frenzy will make sure the next 'look at me' suicidal nut-job will want to outdo them.
Only the idiot poorly planned attacks can happen. Anything that requires as much planning as 911 is almost always going to be picked up on by intelligence communities.
****s!.. I know that area so well. I travelled in and out of there 5 days a week for many years. Six dead, so far. 48 in various hospitals
My last employer (before this) is based at MLP and although I wasn't based in that office my role required going there on average 2 or 3 times a month ... used to get off train earlier and enjoy the walk past St Paul's, over the Millennium bridge then take the Thames path past the Globe, Golden Hind reconstruction etc ... would often call in at Borough to have some of the excellent street food as a guilty pleasure. My old firm is one of the advisers to my current employer and held a training course for us at MLP a couple of weeks ago ... I suspect none of my team will fancy a repeat of that now ... which, of course, is one of the aims of the terrorists... we can't let that happen... time to grit our teeth and show that they can't win ... whilst being vigilant and wary.
Just had one of those fookin hell moments.... my eldest girl, she's 24 now, lives in Wimbledon with her boyfriend and some mates... Sent her a text this morning just to make sure she was OK ...didn't think that she'd have been anywhere near the horror... but as a dad you just want to be sure... turns out that she and her mates were at Borough market until 9pm then left to meet other friends in Clapham... she's a bit shaken up thinking how lucky they were ...not as much as her old man is right now ...
Know all that area very well, Fosse. It's where I usually meet up with some of my old City mates for a drink or 2(00) when I'm over there. Usually end up in Zizzi's pissed as farts devouring pizza...
sad, about 20 mins from where i live and 5 mins from where i work! Having lived and worked in the city people are strong, i remember 7/7 happened outside my office and few hours later people just got on with it all and this is what needs to happen now, cant let them scare people to hide away...
