Why does Cashley sell are best players in January?

In both occasions, the players didn't want to be at the club anymore. I hate Cashley as much as the next guy but for some things, it just isn't fair to blame him. The players are to blame for having their head turned by money.

Should have given his a new lucrative deal, i know he has recently signed a deal.

But why leave it so close to the end of the transfer window?

He was given assurances a new contract was coming. It didn't change anything. He had his head turned and no longer wanted to play for us.

The ability of some Newcastle fans to blame Cashley for everything and anything is a joke. Yes, he has made some MASSIVE mistakes but we can't blame everything on him.

 

Well we shall see if he signs someone in place of Carroll's inevitable departure.

30- 35million + add ons yes is alot of money, but i would much rather have secured are premier league status with "carol" in the team.
