Not personally no, but he's pretty good by all accounts. I've seen him linked a couple of times, where's it coming from now? I'd prefer him to Maiga if I'm honest.

Well, media reports said that Lyon have actually announced that a bid has been made by us for Cissokho.

If that's true, then I'm not sure what to think.

As unlikely as this Cissokho bloke signing is, it's not beyond belief that Ashley will push the boat out to sign him if Carr has highly recommended him. He looks awesome, seriously good - if we get him and he has a couple of good seasons then his value will rocket. Then look at the 2 big clubs in the league, Man U and Chelsea. Both have ageing left backs that they'll want to replace in a couple of seasons - and it all fits into place in Ashleys business model. Sell on for big money.

People say about high wages, but these are probably high compared to France. Say £50k p/w and he'd be here like a shot.

    <yikes>

Bloody hell, and we thought all the big signing rumours were behind us!

Faith well and truly restored if this goes through...

Still can't see it happening, though =/

Here we are, RMC Sport, a French website. Here's the translated page:

    http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translat...le-pour-cissokho/&lp=fr_en&btnTrUrl=Translate

Another English site reported it somewhere but they may have just been taking it from this site.

Mind you, many media sources are reporting fees of around £7-8mill, which isn't really THAT much more than the cost of Pieters. If those estimates are accurate, then signing him isn't that unlikely.

**** it, I want Cissokho much more than Pieters now.

I said it before but Cissokho would be such a good signing I'd cream my pants if true. I hate that the media have suggested it though, just taunting us as I cant see it happening.

I love how upbeat we're all now because we've got a good point v Arsenal and linked with a couple of quality players. Happy days! Only three days ago most of us were suicidal!

I can't see us getting Cissokho as much as I'd love him here :(

No chance with this Cissokho. Push for Maiga and Pieters and I'll be one happy bunny <ok>

I think we could afford Cissokho but would are we (and the Premier League) a big enough pull for him to leave Lyon?

Be happy with either. Very happy with Cissokho! Can't see it happening, however I am unwilling to bet my genitals

If we end up getting Maiga , we'll be in trouble when the ACN starts.

No Shola , Ba or Maiga.

Leaves us with Best and Lovenkrands for nearly a month <yikes>

Would still be very happy with Pieters though, not going to be picky seeing as we're actually spending some decent money.

As someone has already said, it really depends if their respective teams even get through the ACN. I highly doubt Mali well, as despite Maiga, the team ****ing sucks.

    Just saw this :

    Maiga :

Depending on results in other groups, Mali may be eliminated if they lose to Cape Verde AND Liberia do not defeat Zimbabwe. Fingers crossed. That is if we end up signing Maiga , otherwise I couldn't give two ****s on who goes through.

    Ba :

Senegal will qualify for the finals if they do not lose to Congo DR.

    Shola :

If Nigeria win their next two games they will qualify.

Shola hasnt been in a squad yet though and Senegal left Ba out of their last game, so who knows really.

Shola was called up by Nigeria for a friendly against Guatemala in January.

Hope the two of them aren't called up though/teams don't qualify.
