And it won't be a country. If any one uses a nuke it will be some random terrorist with a dirty bomb, not some country firing them.
It's all about parity of force, simple as that. Some countries want to be able to display their strength to the nth degree. Some countries realise that it's cyclic argument and that there is no winner. A country can then decide whether nuclear weapons really are a worthwhile deterrent or not. I had always thought that their only strength is that they 'push away' the idea of major war. But the world can have some pretty damn destructive wars without nuclear weapons becoming involved, so maybe that's a ridiculous argument these days too. The bottom line is that the nuclear weapon genie is out of the bottle and we can't un-invent them, and at the moment, they are still the biggest destructive force there is available, per £. Awful, isn't it. Personally, I've been coming to the conclusion these latter years that they really are a waste of time for the UK. We won't press any nuclear button first, and these days we won't even do it without the USA's say-so, so we'll never do it, first or second. We could easily do what Germany and other countries do and allow nuclear weapons to be fielded on home soil should it become necessary. And we already have mutually assured destruction anyway, so what is the point? We aren't protecting an empire anymore.
This is the one remaining argument. The nutter. Mind you, the nutter individual isn't able to provide the rocket delivery system. Surprisingly, you may think, I don't believe that N.Korea are part of that nutter country category either.
Like I said it'll be a dirty bomb remotely detonated, not a missile. No one running a country is insane enough to launch a nuke.
Hmm, it's a difficult thing to hide. Not that I want the USA/UK's secret services shutting down this forum by discussing it.
I think someone has eventually got to say nuclear weapons are a waste of money and lead by example by ditching the things. They are effectively a rich vanity project - a white elephant.
Another manifesto U turn. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...general-election-2017-manifesto-a7769866.html
As I said a while back, you won't find many public sector workers (police, teachers, NHS, gardeners, bin men, etc.) voting Tory. The country is being starved of the people who make it work work.
My Brothers 2 brothers in law are Policemen , they say it's a nightmare . and when was the last time you saw 2 police in a police car ? 999 call , Police turn up , then have to call for back up , it's too bloody stupid for words !
But we got loads of them police that can't do anything and walk around in a different uniform! ( I am being sarcastic)
Disgusting. Freedom of speech no longer exists, it seems. Watching Amber Rude filling in for UTurn May, at the "Leaders" debate, had me thinking that she was a bully that talked over people, and liked nothing more than to lecture people.
