Murray wins 7-6, 7-5, 6-0. Del Potro is a good player so a great result for Murray who is struggling by his own high standards.
Andrea Dovizioso [ITA] wins the Italian MotoGP at Mugello [the best track of the lot], on a Ducati, an Italian bike. Great race. Vinales 2nd [Yamaha], Petrucci 3rd [Ducati], Valentino 4th [Yamaha]. Andrea had the trots all night so was dehydrated, and Vale was recovering from his injuries of last week.
I addition, both the Moto2 and Moto3 races were also won by Italians. Really good races both, especially the Moto3.
I was really impressed by Andy yesterday - his movement has certainly improved just since his first match on Tuesday. High hopes for Kyle at Wimbledon, too...
Was impressed by Kyle....so calm and has some serious weapons. Andy took him on a training camp and Kyle said he had never worked so hard....could hardly get out of bed. A real hope for the future.
Blues 12-10 Lions Lions leading 10-5 when hooter went, then Blues knocked a penalty off the post and followed up with a try.
Lions lose. Forwards played well enough, but backs lacked creativity and we were punished by pretty ruthless NZ (might be the story of the tour). Unfortunately it seemed today as though the poor form Wales have been in has carried over. Dated tactics and Rob Howley's atrocious attacking work. Hopefully we can pick it up the more we play, giving the team more time to gel.
I said many posts ago that the Lions will be blitzed by NZ in the three tests. One of the reasons that NZ can move that ball quickly, secondly the Lions is a combination of 4 unions and it will take time to gel, longer than the span of this tour. Another factor is that the Lions have had a long hard season and to try and reach a peak again is almost impossible. And lastly, NZ are the best rugby union team in the world at the moment.
Djoko needs a complete rest for the rest of the year and try to come back stronger next year. As for Thiem, I hope he wins his first GS at Roland Garros and I believe he will have the speed to defeat Rafa.
Murray takes second set 6-1. Murray looked uninterested until near the end of the 2nd game of the set when the Umpire penalised him....everything changed after that. Needed firing up...Murray (like most Scots) needs a good gripe.
