God (or Allah) knows how - he's managed to fall out with just about every club he's played at If he'd actually put the effort in he could've been a superstar
Exactly he's done way more than the average wage and whatever you want to say it's still a massive achievement. I'm tired of average people st least he wasn't on his day
Is he? I don't think one good season at Nice and a handful of performances for us makes you good. Talented no doubt but good would mean he makes use of that talent.
How many good games did Ben Arfa have? He had occasional moments of brilliance and plenty of moments of stupidity and laziness to balance them out. I'm not saying Colback is good - he isn't - but he has played quite a few good games doing simple things - in amongst a load of **** games.
He was pretty wicked and key to getting you 5th with Newcastle if i remember often taking on quite a few players
True but he really only played the 2nd half of that season. I think this is the thing with Ben Arfa. It's easy to go misty eyed as highs are very high. But if you actually tally the good games up, you wouldn't need more than your fingers and toes across his career.
Shame they were so far apart Point I think most people are making is that, on his day, he was way more than average. Just wasn't prepared to use his talent to it's maximum which is the biggest crime - lazy player who believed his own hype and didn't make the most of his opportunities.
