He was - been to the Moët Champage house in Epernay. And Taittinger and Veuve Clicquot - Love the Champagne region!
Don't get too excited people.. less than £200 traded on Betfair of which £80 has been on Monk... I think we can safely say that no one is in the know...
Just seen on Facebook that it's Monk and will be announced on Wednesday? But nothing on here. It's bollocks then.
Agreed, I'd be really happy and pleasantly surprised as not only is he a good, progressive manager with an attractive style but it would also really piss off those TWS ****s.
The only way it could get better was he joined us, then raided them for their best players. Now that would be hilarious.
I'd be very happy if we appointed Monk. He should never have got the sack at Swansea and he did an excellent job with one of the weakest teams in Yorkshire. Hopefully this is just not just a typical bookmakers trick.
Typical trick? They don't move odds on a whim, they move them on betting habits. The only reason Monk has dropped is because people are betting on him.
In what way? They can set the odds at whatever they want. Or do you mean falsifying reports that make people bet on certain outcomes?
Those pesky punters have hugely impacted the betting on Monk. On Betfair we have £28 on Monk and £17 Pearson.
I bookie could put someone to 8/1 when really they're 25/1 this could entice some to have a bet at 8/1 thinking they've got in before the odd come in anymore? Then the bookie COULD make a killing as long as the bet doesn't actually come in? If that makes sense ( if it's it illegal I don't know ) I'm sure an expert will pull it to bits?
if it is Monk, then I would guess that the owners will back him in the transfer market, but lets be fair trying to second guess them is about as tricky as trying to split the atom..
