Wasn't really worth starting a thread on but just goes to show how powerful the PL is: "Sunderland's £93.5m for finishing LAST in the Premier League is more than Juventus, Bayern or Monaco get for WINNING Serie A, BL, Ligue 1." Makes you think, coupled together with player sales whoever comes in should have something to spend despite the obvious belt tightening required.
Here's one more: Blues coach Eddie Newton, who is responsible for players out on loan from Stamford Bridge, has emerged as a candidate to replace David Moyes at Sunderland. (Sunderland Echo)
If we have to have someone who hasn't been a manager before, I'd rather have Eddie Newton than Giggs or Phillips. He's served a long apprenticeship as a coach and assistant manager and is, I believe, very well respected.
We need to speed this up: the window is open and we all seen what happened last year when the new gaffer had no time. Admittedly he was a ****ing weapon like.
Window doesn't open till the 9th mate - was on sky sports the other day - I thought it was 1st June but apparently it's not!! Edit: But I agree - we need to get a move on!
Agreed! Although there's other places saying the window doesn't technically open until July 1st! No idea to be honest! Although I'd rather they took their time and got the right man for the job than got another Moyes!
Love been blanked on all levels. Even tried to lighten it up. Any need? **** him then. He's clearly Ignorant anyway.
Been saying this for over a week now It took wolves 1 day This is not good enough we will be left behind again Just get some one in now
He had a notification, he's been on since. I'll just ignore and not engage back. My point has already been made. No problems.
Just heard on sky sports news that the new manager is Teddy Sheringham. Then, when I heard it properly it was Swindon and not Sunderland. I was channel hopping and only caught the very end where the Swindon sounded a little like Sunderland, then I added 2 + 2 and got 5.
