I offer no opinion on the subject. I am only quoting reported facts. Ministers by their own admission and that of May, have been appointed now to fly to scope post Brexit trade agreements, something so far they have failed to do.

Sorry mate. Day she took control she appointed David Davis as brexit minister and Liam Fox as minister for international trade. They were given the remit to (I won't say secure - I know it pisses OLOF off) post brexit trade agreements. They have flown all around the world and so far zip (not saying they won't). What that means is they haven't actually agreed to start negotiations, which may or may not take 7-10 years to complete.

I suppose I shouldn't enter into this private discussion but.....

Could somebody explain this leaving and negotiations thing?

You have had a vote to determine if you are going to buy a ticket for a road trip but you don't actually know where the trip is going.

When you find out what the destination is going to be are you going to have another vote to see if you like it?

For instance the road trip could be going to Yorkeys Knob in Queensland or Tittybong in Victoria and you might prefer one to the other

Or is that it you just have to put up with what you get, a bit like a lucky draw?

It wasn't a road trip or a destination we voted for, that's Dim Farron and the other undemocratic sore losers way of having another vote, to get their way.
it was a straight vote to leave the corrupt European union full of unelected dictators

Yes, but the problem is we still have to find a way to deal with them when we leave.

Ok I get that a votes a vote, why have another! but then how was it possible to establish which was the appropriate way to vote in the first place if you didn't know the consequences of leaving the EU, was it all down to gut feeling and instinct. I get the ideal thing and the desire to be free of the impact of the EU but it seems odd to make a jump without knowing how high up you are.

There is likely to be a vote in Australia to replace the Queen with an elected President and become a Republic. The ideal, to be independent is strong in Australia as well, but perhaps not a majority, the consequences are known so the vote one way or the other is a relatively simple one of personal preference, gut feeling, and logic, consequences.

I can't change you're call one way or another and I don't want to try but It is hard to understand from a distance how people actually made their mind up.

Camerons government sent a leaflet out to every household in the UK mate, highlighting the benefits of staying, and all the disadvantages of leaving , that meant leaving the single market, the whole lot, and still the majority voted to leave.
Obviously Glory, 20/20, and the other remoaners didn't get said leaflet through their letterboxes, and therefore didn't know what they voted for, or where they were going
btw, I didn't need Camerons propaganda bullshit leaflet to make my mind up for me, I can think for myself<ok>
