Weren't we heavily linked to him before he went to Chelsea? Or am I thinking of one of the other dozens of targets they have poached from us over the years?
Speaking of Virgil, the Times are reporting that City are going to offer him £180,000 a week. please log in to view this image Said for a while that I think City makes the most sense. Would be a quality calming influence alongside Stones and could be a partnership to develop for years. Would really suit Peps style too.
We'll see I suppose, I'll look a bit of twat if he does go to you as I've said on here repeatedly that I think he's too good for you for months now Personally I'd tell you lot to **** off and him that he isn't going anywhere, happy enough to sign a 6 year deal less than a year ago, at least honour a 3rd of that. He'll still likely be worth £50m+ next Summer anyway. No doubt he'll sign for you in about 2 weeks though for £45m. Sigh.
Very reliable source tells me that definitely yes to keita Definitely yes to Di frij Chances were good for vvd Definitely no to neymar But was told to ask again later for reuss and Aubameyang
Manchester City plotting £100m deal for Virgil Van Dijk to beat Liverpool to his signature please log in to view this image Manchester City are preparing a £100m deal for to tempt Virgil Van Dijk away from Southampton, according to The Times. The paper report that City are ready to pay £50m for the defender, and will pay him £180k a week over 5 years, four times his present salary. Chelsea have offered Van Dijk £170k a week, which is £50k a week more than Liverpool have offered the 25-year old.
180k... no problem. Imo **** or get off the pot at this point. Ignore the press totally or just wait for the man city announcement.
I think City are after otherCB targets - can't see them going for VVD unless those targets fall through. Still think VVD is on his way to Liverpool. Big if - but if we get VVD and Keita, we instantly improve the spine of the team. A player like Salah would be icing on the cake. Still hoping Klopp has big plans for left back as well. Two things that concern me with Salah - 1) he'll be off to the AFCON along with Mane. 2) he's played a lot from RW (Mane's position). Re. 2 - it will be interesting to see how Klopp would use him. He is two footed
Exactly this. Cough up and get on with the next signing. We ALWAYS miss out because of our approach. Get the f#ck on with it!!!
The press sometime wants to up the stake..(ploy by agents.) If a player does not worth a price no need to buy.
