I've started a bet thread 'Betz for Bantz' call someone out and get a bet on for next season....I reckon one of the Lesta cry babies and yourself. Spice it up..... It will be a tight season between you two I reckon.
Not a bad shout. Like to see who our new manager will be first though. Both us and Leicester could go one of 2 ways this season imo.
I'm reading Joey Barton's Biography, I love a Biography. I've got a book I read in my car and one at work..my last car book was Alex Ferguson's 'Leading' great read. If you are into Biographies and maybe haven't read it, I recommend Mike Tyson's Biography...fantastic read Or if you fancy getting some real inspiration behind backing your kids with their Sporting aspirations as I know you take your lad to Cricket, you should read Richard William's biography 'Black and White'...it's deep and honest. Serena/Venus Williams Father.
So I did my bad. Though why would you getting a new manager impact on a bet between Saints and Leicester?
I was a casual cricket observer but then got into it more for professional reasons and am now a cricket dad as Stan Jr is pretty good (he'll maybe make District, he'll never make County). Nasser Hussein's autobiography is very good as it's as much about captaincy and psychology (which I like studying) as it is about cricket. Richard Williams and Tyson are definitely books I should and will read. Thanks.
Just got back from an 'Alumni' evening for a firm I worked for at the V&A museum... private viewing of the Pink Floyd exhibition ... well worth it for all you Prog Rock types ...ends in a showpiece with the Floyd playing Comfortably Numb and Gilmore strutting his stuff with one of my all time fave guitar solos... pretty damn awesome
I'm reading Mark Twain's letters from Hawaii at the moment. Good account of Hawaii in the 1860's when he was working as a young journo for the Sacremento Union. It does get a bit bogged down in the machinations of Hawaiian political systems, but historically it's good info and some of Twain's writing is pure razor sharp dean pan wit. Before that I read Barbarian days- a surfing life. By William Finnegan. Essentially a surf travel autobiography, but one of the best books I've read in years. A real adventure story and great personal insight into a life well lived. You don't really have to be a surfer to appreciate it, it's a great human story of adventure/misadventure.
Read this. It might just change your view of the modern world. It's astonishingly brilliant. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Thousand_Splendid_Suns
Here I am in the gym again ffs, at least I have my water today, fresh and cold. One decent bird in but she's about 6ft 4... Very tasty figure tho. Here goes.
I've read The Kite Runner and watched the film both very good. I'll see if I can pick up a copy of this.

I like, will try. Glorious day to be going to watch Stan Jr play cricket. Going to be a tough match today. Will take beer and cider.
