That man was Groucho Marx, he also said a child of five would understand this, send someone to fetch a child of five, classic.
Old Winston Churchill, was good for a quote or two, as well. A well respected lady, whose name we shall draw a veil over, remarked to Winnie, after being insulted by him, at a dinner party, "Mr Churchill, if you were my husband, I would put poison in your wine," to which the great statesman replied, "Madam if you were my wife, I would drink it!" Marvellous!
Churchill had plenty of retorts. There's the one with the politician's wife who said, Mr Churchill, you are drunk. To which Winnie replied, I may be, Madam. But you are ugly, and I will be sober in the morning. Then there's one I heard on QI about one of Churchill's party MPs being caught on Hampstead Heath during a February night, in embarrassing circumstances. His aide said, Sir, the MP for [insert town name] was found on Hampstead Heath, naked with another man. Churchill replied, Last night..? Very cold last night. Makes you proud to be British..!
Cheers ...lets see Karl Pilkington, Larry David and Obelix (looks like Brighton fan?) in red and white stripes
Although I'm all for giving players a chance, the guy is 26 years old and completely unknown to any of us, I believe. In which case, how has such a supposedly good player managed to hide his skill under a bush all those years. Coupled with the fact that he's supposedly worth £1.75M and you begin to wonder. And he plays in Serie B. Add all these circumstances together and a couple of things pop up. 1] he might indeed be a bargain, or even more likely 2] he just might not be that good.
To be fair we signed guly from a team that was in serie b admittedly they had just gone up that year though
I'll believe this rumour when he signs. TBF i'd rather sign this guy for £1.75 million than Rodriguez for 5 million or Maynard for 6 million (especially when the latter will be worth precisely nothing in a years time).
Hey guys Thought id give you some info on this guys since u clearly dont know much about him. (no offense, and sorry about my bad english) He was originally a quick paced winger with amazing technique (compared to norwegian standard). He entered top fotball late, and got his debut in the norwegian tippeliga 1 week before he turned 21. In his debut he scored after 19 seconds on the pitch. Before the 2009 season he was moved from the wing to play as a striker. He took some time to adapt, but ended up scoring 15 goals and 13 assists in 30 matches. In 2010 he scored 10 goals and had 10 assists in 30 matches, more importantly though he was last, 2nd last or 3rd last on more then 2/3 of the goals scored by the club. After the season he was bought by Bari in serie A, who had 12 matches left of the season and was trying to avoid relegation. He hardly had time to adapt and only managed to score 2 goals in Bari. His career for the norwegian national team took off in 2010 where he scored both goals in Norways 2-1 win over France, he scored the goal in Norways 1-0 win over Portugal and a goal in Norways 2-1 win over Ireland. In recent years he has been linked to alot of clubs, and the only reason he should go to a championship club would be to prove that hes good enough for PL, as big clubs are unsure of the level of the norwegian league.(cant blame em) Personally i think the main reason he hasnt signed for a big club already is that hes hard to define as a player. There are better target men, better finishers, and better dribblers. What i think is great about Huseklepp is that he can do it all, and most of all he is the element of surprise. His movement without the ball is excellent, and on the ball he has the ability to challenge 1 on 1, hit great passes and shoot. Hes a offensive asset to (i would say) any team. And if ure worried that hes not good enough, all i gotta say is that he is considered a key man on a national team that is ranked as nr.11 on the FIFA ranking. I think hes too good for championship, and i think you would be hella lucky if u got him. Quality player, nuff said.
Cheers for the info botch! I must say I am liking the sound of this guy if the price is to be believed, but all I have seen is that one rumour on the talksport website so not getting my hopes up!
News reports in Italy saying we've signed him for 2.1 million euros (£1.85mill). I think they've jumped the gun a bit, but we're definitely favorites. The Southampton rumours seemed to come from people saying they saw him there yesterday, his agent confirmed on Twitter he was in Italy though...
I live in Norway but I don't follow their league games, but I'll ring a mate and see what he has to say about him.
That homophobic crap would have been banned on the old site - let's see if it gets the deserved boot on this one !!!
