    That is appalling.
Not ashamed to say that it brought tears to my eyes, watching her struggles, and my heart was in my mouth watching her come down the stairs.
One tumble and she could be dead. Truly shameful that this type of thing happens in this country.

Theresa May Has Totally F*cked It Up’ Tory Candidate Lets Rip At Dire Election Campaign

Tory candidates are “****ed off” with Theresa May for running a campaign that has “shattered” confidence in her ability to be Prime Minister.

The stark warning comes from a Conservative candidate seeking re-election in a marginal seat, and they told HuffPost UK that other colleagues across the UK share their frustration.

Another candidate seeking re-election was even more damning, saying that if Jeremy Corbyn wasn’t Labour leader, the Tories would definitely lose the election – “and we would deserve to.”

Even candidates who didn’t share the same pessimism as their worried colleagues agreed the campaign had been marred by “unforced errors” – with the u-turn on a social care cap being the prime example.

    Source:http://m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/uk_59...b0540ffc834f06

    This quote is mad:
Speaking to HuffPost UK today, one candidate originally elected in 2015 said:

“It’s a completely different experience to what it was four weeks ago. It’s made my job a hell of a lot harder. It’s a completely different experience. I’m pretty ****ed off.

“People on the doorstep are telling me: ‘She’s going after pensioners, she doesn’t know what she’s doing, she doesn’t answer questions on the TV.’ I’ve switched from saying ‘vote for her’ to ‘vote for me’. It’s hard to understand how people in London who get paid a lot of money made such a clusterfuck.

“People voted for her because of what they thought she was like rather than what she is like. It’s totally shattered the confidence of the parliamentary party.

“Colleagues up and down the country are just ****ed off.

“She said she wasn’t going to call a general election, and they’ve totally ****ed it up.

    If this is true

Funnily enough it did nothing to me apart from reaffirm my knowledge of what goes on. It's awful to see, but it didn't shock. I KNOW this woman isn't a special case. Across the country there are neglected forgotten people in all categories of disabilities and financial states. It's still not really good enough when a Labour government gets into power, but it's a huge amount better. But this is what we content ourselves with and look the other way. This is the society we have today. One that has actually gone backwards in its vision and scope. What did Neil Kinnock state in 1983.? Don't be ordinary, young, fall ill, and don't grow old, because it'll only get worse for you. He was right, though nobody listened.

It is quite staggering what has happened today. Theresa May seems like a totally different person who called the election and when faced by the journalists who asked her to respond to Jeremy Corbyn's decision to attend tonight's debate she seemed visibly shocked. I was staggered at the audacity of the press / TV journalists as it is quite clear that they can now smell blood. There were even calls to her asking whether she would resign if forced in to a coalition. This week has been incredible. JC seemed to be putting in a game repost to the Tory campaign with the best result looking like a face -saving exercise. Last week the potential majority was looking to be reduced and today it looks like Theresa May is about to be put on the canvas. I cannot ever recall such a volte face amongst the electorate with the Labour manifesto being little short of awe-inspiring and the other parties barely getting their message across. This is the political equivalent of when Saints lost away to Tranmere in the league cup all those years ago.

The team behind Corbyn are alleged to believe that they will win this election and that the momentum is with Labour. I think that Jeremy has truly captured the zeitgeist of the moment. I truly believe that Jeremy will become Prime Minister and, by the looks of things, by a far greater margin than people will give him credit for. Theresa May is starting to look finished as a politician before the campaign is over if politicians are questioning her future already.

So Theresa, you're concentrating on Brexit (whilst jeremy isn't) whilst you are travelling the country taking questions from voters???? you couldn't negotiate your way out of a wet paper bag!

It was fascinating watching Theresa May on Monday even though I hate Jeremy Paxman's style of questioning. The most interesting thing about TM was how uncertain and quavering her voice was when asked questions by her audience. It was amazing and something I had never witnessed with any politician before. She seemed genuinely uncomfortable.

Even more telling is that whenever she feels uncomfortable or is asked something that is difficult to answer the reaction immediately registers on her face. If you were negotiating with her, you would quickly be able to tell what she was thinking and the whole body language issue belies the "strong and stable" banner under which her campaign has been run. When she laughs, she is clearly uncomfortable and unsure. For the first time, people at the press conference were caught laughing at May behind her back.

It will be fascinating to see just how soon a journalist asks her whether she would be intending to send Amber Rudd to negotiate with Brussells.

But Jeremy is playing a blinder !! Very, very statesmanlike and running everyone else ragged.

Amber Rudd is a train -wreck. UKIP coming across as idiots but impressed with Greens and Plaid too.

Rudd needs to learn how to speak in public. All she's done is attack Corbyn who has handled everything. Tim Farron and Caroline Lucas have done well too. Nuttall is just a yob.

I think Corbyn's relatives are enjoying themselves in the audience!

I can see why Theresa May avoided this debate tonight as it would have been curtains for her. The more "progressive" politicians are coming out of this as far more capable whereas UKIP and the Conservatives just come across as pantomime villains. Amber Rudd has been very poor and Corbyn is making mincemeat of the Conservatives. This will only reflect well on Labour tomorrow albeit the Greens look extremely capable too and have eclipsed Farron tonight. This week seems like a game-changer in this election.

Nuttall is just a more racist/drunk version of Al Murray's pub landlord character.
