    i agree, i dont like to say it put the only player who deserves the number 9 shirt now is ameobi, and even though i dont rate him as a player, as a embassador, there is no one better, i cant wait to see what shearer has to say about carrol, i hope he slates him

    I'm honestly stunned. Carroll could have been a legend, yet he becomes the opposite. The worst thing is, he's joined a team that are only 2 points ahead of us who have played an extra game then us. No offence to Liverpool but they've been ****e this year, no better then us. He's obviously just a money grabbing ****. Where has the loyalty gone in football?,

    Just got back from work.

    I knew Cashley would want to cash in, but i hoped Andy Carroll would have honoured his contract dew to the fact he loves the club.

    Clearly not. Just because Liverpool are offering him nearly what 3 times his wages apparently.

    I fear for are season.

    To be fair though, it was only a matter of time before Carroll was sold whether he want to go or MA wanted the money.

    He had it all here, wearing the number 9 shirt for his home town club where he was praised by us fans and constantly coming out and saying that he only wants to play for us - what more could you ask for?! oh wait... more money Andy

    He handed in a transfer request as soon as Liverpool came in with a desperate bid but he's not worth £35 million and never will be.

    I hope that we get a replacement and spend the cash wisely but how do you get an adequate replacement in 6 hours?
