Wanna swap Mahrez for Fabregas + cash? <whistle>
    Cesc can create goals :)

Cesc wants games, and he would get them at Leicester

Maybe Cesc doesn't fancy a relegation battle though. These things need to be considered mate.

I would tbf ... we need that control in the midfield ... we have some great talent waiting to come through in attacking positions ... would play a midfield 3 of Drinky, Cesc and Wilf Ndidi ... <ok>

It was all over the papers at one point you nobber <doh>

Far too slow for a Klopp team, imo.

We're hopefully getting Keita. Better than Kante (so the stats suggest <doh>)

He's box to box though but can play deep. Scores a few and gets plenty of assists. Dragged his team to 2nd in the Bundesliga last year.

Leicester City have leapt into the European elite after their Premier League title win in the 2015/16 season, according to figures from an influential new report.
KPMG’s Football Clubs’ Valuation: The European Elite 2017 report providing an indication of the Enterprise Value of the 32 most prominent European football clubs, and sees the Foxes enter the list in 16th position with an Enterprise Value reckoned, at top calculations, to be around €482m.

With a combined Enterprise Value of €29.9bn, the aggregate value of Europe’s 32 leading clubs grew by 14 percent in comparison to last season.
Despite another disappointing Premier League season, Manchester United top the list ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona, becoming the first club to surpass the €3bn threshold in Enterprise Value.

Leicester City transfer rumours: Arsenal lead chase for Riyad Mahrez as Arsene Wenger plots £40m bid

Riyad Mahrez has announced he wants to leave Leicester City

Arsenal are reported to be plotting a £40million move for Riyad Mahrez after the winger revealed he wanted to leave Leicester City.

Mahrez released a statement on Tuesday in which he confirmed he had told the club his desire to "move on to a new experience".

That has kick-started the rumour mill – what the statement set out to achieve – of clubs who are interested in the Algeria international and former PFA player of the year.

Arsene Wenger is reported to have been given a £100m transfer kitty this summer, after agreeing a two-year deal to stay on as manager, with Mahrez high on his list of targets, according to the Sun.

Arsene Wenger has been given a £100m transfer kitty after agreeing two-year deal at Arsenal

Leicester do not want, or need, to sell Mahrez and will only grant him his wish if clubs offer upwards of £50m, with the 26-year-old having no release clause in his contract, which has three years left to run.

Arsenal were heavily linked with Mahrez last summer but, despite all the speculation, the Mercury understands that Leicester did not receive a single bid for the mercurial winger.

In other transfer news ... Liverpool have signed a really, really, tall Chelsea youth player as they come to terms with the reality of where they now are in the modern football family hierarchy ... one fluke season which enabled them to scrape a UCL qualifying spot cannot gloss over the fact that they are now just one of abunch of annual fourth place contenders in the EPL ... <laugh>

Was very good in the Championship, the great escape season, and the title winning season ... so 3 out of 4 ain't bad ... and he brought us the title ... Ross Barkley might be moving for similar money but with far less acheivement ... indeed, might be fair to label him a 'one month wonder' <laugh>

More seriously - he was very good in Europe despite not having a perticularly good league campaign ... I'm sure he'll go on to even better things .. <ok>

    Good.

Tbf mate I'd like him in our squad but he's not getting in on the right wing with Mane in our team. Perfect back up though, I guess.

I think Mo Salah might be joining us... not too sure about that one. I know he's had a very good season but left Chelsea without getting a real chance.

...think Gael Clichy is more your type of player these days tbf ... Pool becoming a bit of a retirement home for players no longer good enough for Citeh ... just hope he doesn't come against Mahrez playing for Arsenal because Riyad always turns the poor lad inside out ... :)

  17. Leicester manager Craig Shakespeare has made a bid to appoint Oxford manager Michael Appleton as his assistant. (Daily Mail)

Yet more evidence that LCFC is setting itself up for life in the Championship?

Would be a very astute bit of business. Appleton is a very good coach and is proving that at Oxford.

I would doubt that he'd leave that to become a number 2 again though.
