I came to Neil Young via Crosby, Stills and Nash. Together, or separate, there's a whole lot of great music in there. Neil Young add an edgy rawness to CSN which is just so different. Then again, Neil Young is pretty damn unique anyway. Father of grunge.?
Yes, he has worked with a lot of up and coming bands like Green On Red. I agree about his uniqueness, and I love his commitment to environmental issues such as the Dakota Access Pipeline protest.
Watched the first episode last night and I'm hooked. I read the book long enough ago that I don't remember every little detail now until something jogs my memory on the show (like the first scene with the man reading about his childhood Halloween). I'm hoping to watch at least an episode an evening so should get through it pretty quickly. I'm glad that I finally got round to it!
Margaret Court has said "tennis is full of lesbians", following a row over her earlier remarks on gay marriage. Australian Court, a 24-time Grand Slam singles champion and now a Christian pastor, also said that transgender children were the work of "the devil". The 74-year-old caused controversy when she said she would not fly on Qantas "where possible" in protest at its support of same-sex marriage. "When I was playing there was only a couple [of lesbians]," Court said. "But those couple that led took young ones into parties and things. What you get at the top is often what you'll get right through that sport." Speaking to Vision Christian Radio she added: "We're there to help them overcome. We're not against the people."
I won't go on, but my wonderful younger daughter married her girl friend 3 years ago. It wasn't something I thought about much before then but it does piss me off now!
A lot of women wear Hotter shoes these days, I find. Very comfortable I'm told. Maybe it's the age group I know these days.
I notice Billie-Jean King and Navratilova have come out strongly against her view. Navratilova even went on to say that "Billie-Jean is not my lover. She's just a girl who claims that I am the one.!"** **I may have made that last bit up.
