    The UK is going to lose some business HQs to Oireland anyway post Brexit. But our corporation tax will still be lower than France and Germany.

    Tax is about finding a balance. Ireland is only getting away with being the Cayman Islands of Europe because of it's relatively small economy. The country's infrastructure will limit how many businesses physically relocate; & companies registered in name only for tax avoidance purposes will eventually be brought to book by the countries in which they actually trade.

    None of this is much help if you own a plant hire firm in Slough. You're not going to relocate 500 miles away from your customers.

    Pud mate. I thought you were better than this. I am disappointed to say the least.

    Who benefits from free prescriptions? The sick that's who. The old and infirm, the disabled, the most vulnerable in society.

    I don't benifit as i am a specimen of human perfection who hasn't had to visit a doctor in years. I dare say you are too. Most people are.

    The administration needed to mean test prescription charges would cost more than the money spent filling the prescriptions.

    Come on big man, lets be sensible now.

So all these companies who currently reside in the UK and are going to need to relocate to the EU after Brexit because to trade in the EU they need to be based there are going to relocate to foreign shores with all the language difficulties and such like rather than moving to Hillington or Edinburg or Burntisland?

    Scotland will be running the EU by 2025.

    I agree ... but if you have the means you should pay

    Some guy on 50k should not get free prescriptions...he pays and it's reinvested so oaps etc on basic benefits get it for free

    A sliding scale ...earn x , pay y

    I don't get why the NHS should be free for all ...

    Those who can contribute , should contribute .

    Wee oap on state pension ... free treatment and free elderly care

    Guy , early 40s on a good salary ... pay for your Script , non essential treatments etc

    That way we get a fully funded NHS , free for those who can't afford it and funding towards the areas the NHS is skilled at I.e heart surgery , cancer treatment etc
