It is a load of bollocks...this bitter label is a cheap shot which is designed to shut posters up. I'm calling it for what it is...I don't think we have the audacity to belittle a trophy. However...these boys were everything about these trophies but positive when they were in the CL and competing in the top 4. Tel has said its about the CL....that's the truth. These boys are acting like they always held these trophies in high regard in the PL era...I have not been in a Coma...I am not buying it.
You are talking utter ****e. Why is it always Spurs fans that decide to "Call it like it is"? Always, without fail, whenever anyone wins anything, there is a Spurs fans waiting in the wings to "Call it like it is". You will never agree because no one likes to be known as bitter.
Mate, we'll all be laughing at Arsenal and Everton next season playing Thursday night football, because you start the season with the highest of expectations if you support a top team. One thing is certain though one set of fans (at least) from Spurs, United, Chelsea, City or Liverpool, because 5 doesn't go into 4 ever, so the likelyhood is one of those teams at some point next season would love to win the Europa League in order to get back into the CL. Imagine there's 10 birds, 10-1 10 being the fittest obviously, Chelsea went home with the 10, Spurs went home with the 8 after grafting the 10 and getting pied, City got the 7 after spending most of the night with the 6 and Liverpool got the 6 after he went to the bog and City snook in and swiped his bird. United are still in the club, there's a lot of graft to do to get that 9 and if things go bad, he could be going home with the 4 cos the Gunners have just whisked the 5 off her trotters... fortunately the graft pays off and United got the 9. The point is, when next season starts (when they all go back out again), everybody will be grafting that 10 again. Even Arsenal, until the rest point out that he's got a single bed and works Thursday evenings.
Far from bitter...**** me I've been bitter in my life...but for things that affect my life. Football is football..don't know about you..but I'm well and truly over any downside to it a few days after the event. Being bitter in life is the long game and I find it insulting that you think bitterness comes into it. I was in Town yesterday celebrating Hudds getting promotion with my Town supporting mates and not a snotty Kant in sight to tell me I'm 'glory hunting'.. I'm a football fan....it's all kept in perspective...bitter
I think you are putting too much importance in what I am saying. I am not saying Spurs fans are sitting at home with pen knives on their wrists ready to commit Sepuku. It's more of a minor annoyance. I was the same Saturday.....we lost the FA cup, and I was like "ffs.........ooh a 1080p rip of Trainspotting 2!" (Great film btw)
No it's not a minor annoyance it overtakes most topics of conversation and is used as a tool to chop the legs off anything a Spurs fan says on here. As for Saturday....I went to watch King Arthur...enjoyed it...typical Guy Ritchie film...some Cockney humour throughout...I recommend it, even Beckham couldn't ruin it...to be honest he did orite in his cameo.
Why is it though, that Spurs fans are always the ones to point out inadequacies in others? The level of its effect on you, I cannot attest, obviously, but it does always seem to be the case that whenever any team achieves anything, a Spurs fan is at the ready to tell the winning fans just how much they haven't achieved!
I think that comment says a lot about your bias if anything. To suggest that only Spurs fans point out inadequacies whilst the rest hop along merrily enjoying the game for what it is on this board is absolutely laughable, therefore I shall
Spurs have been shagging mingers for years. They don't know what to do with a hot bird, and shot their load too early last year (dumped out of the CL group stages) Even the ugly bird then kicked them out of bed (dumped out of the europa league)
... film - The Damned United was on over the weelend ... the Charity Shield game between Leeds and Liverpool back in the 70s didn't appear to be a meaningless "friendly"
Yeah but they've been going to the gym lately, so they can pull the odd worldy. You lot are stuck with that mess who was hot back in the late 90's and early 2000's, now she looks like she works in Greggs.
Watched that....first time I've seen it...knew the background to it and thought it was a brilliant movie...football was a different Beast back then...but I miss the honesty of the game.
Well we all know that next year is the year that Liverpool get the best bird, so we'll all have to settle for what's left.
