Thought that might be the cause of your bitterness. Education wasn't dumbed down then like it was for you, so swings and roundabouts. What else did we get "handed on a plate"?
No goodwill from this direction - they're Wessie ****s, always have been, always will be ...... I'm gutted, I'd love to have seen them humiliated.
You cheeky ****er,its the money that we paid in all those years that kept things going for you. Who do you think supplied the cash for the first 50yrs of the NHS. Not you son.

I could have sworn I have seen you post that your poor quality posts (grammar, etc) have been down to your iPad. Hmm, Bullshit Bingo calls House.
Your assessment that I wasn't paying taxes before I was born, is indeed correct. Is the NHS in a fit state now? Do you think your generation have done a good job of 'keeping it going'?
It's a source of contention, sure, it's not my main issue though, I was fortunate enough to get in before the £9k a year pricetag. I'm also fortunate enough to be in a job relevant to my degree, so it seems worth it, even if it wasn't handed to me like it was for your generation. Your "dumbed down" comment just typifies the boneheaded arrogance of your generation, and as I've said before, based on the job you lot are doing, and the mess you're leaving, I'll take my "dumbed down" education over whatever the hell you had. It's a known fact that your generation had it a lot easier than ours, easier to find a job, easier to buy a house, easier to get access to healthcare and easier retire at a reasonable age (with a state pension). But yeah, "thanks" though.
Dropped it a few months bag, smashed the screen. Got an Android tablet as it is easier to get games on. What is the reason for your poor quality posts? Thickness?
Can someone explain to me why there would be a fire sale, surley the Chinese consortium didn't base their investment on reading going up ?
What was handed to my generation regarding university education? Fewer places and far harder to get into. The fact our pension scheme is so poor is down to the way it was set up. That was the fault of the people in charge in 1948, which was not my generation In fact it wasn't my dad's generation, he was 23 at the time, but the generation before him who were in their 50s and 60s at the time.
guy went to china on a work experience trip and thinks he's the super agent to billionaire chinese groups
