Couldn't get any live coverage :-(
Great for Sato to win, I did like him early in his F1 career. Some great moves and some silly ones but he did try.
Chilton, who would have thought he would be any good in Indy.

"It's not something you want to see" they say of the Dixon crash, as they play it for the umpteenth time in HD super slo-mo.

For a long time it was Sato Rossi Alonso. Sato didn't get screwed by the cautions and gets the win. Great race!

Chilton showing how he can stop cars overtaking without those pesky blue flags.

He is probably the 3rd best driver to come from Japan. Next to yuji Ide and taki inoue

What the hell does Alonso do from here. I say all the drivers in a Grand Prix move aside just once to allow him to win a race a final time. Crazy as it sounds haha

Unfortunately with the Honda engine even if all drivers let him past he might not make it to the end!!

His Indy500 engine blow up must be the last straw. I think if he hasn't already signed up to Renault he will now. Then again they lost a PU today!!!!

Can't see him going to Merc, Red Bull wouldn't pay him enough, Ferrari wouldn't hire him now they have Vettel.

Think he might just have to resign himself to a decent pay deal at McHonda and forget winning again. Sad, very sad.

He's only 35, drivers compete and win at Indy through to their mid 40s, and WEC seems to be somewhat of a retirement home at times too. F1 still has to be the focus, and arguably he can't afford a sabbatical to chase Indy/WEC as even as a winner there he might not walk back into F1.

I've got more faith in Renault than McHonda next season right now, so jumping seats might make sense, but really he needs a top seat and I can't see it opening up to him. If a team wants a top driver, Verstappen will probably be their first target.

So it's probably a case of midfield F1 for a couple more seasons in the hope he finally gets lucky, and then I can see him going to WEC with an agreement that he can race the 500 each season.

Alonso unfortunate to lose out with a Honda engine again.

Personally I think McLaren the team are moving forwards. The issue comes solely down to power unit.

Surely there has to be something behind the scenes to either make Honda competitive or a short term Merc deal? (However I'm unsure whether those Merc customer engines are anywhere near as good as the works no matter what they say!!)

Renault need more time. The only way he signs for them is if their PU makes a huge stride later this season with the upgrade.

Does anyone know what this Mercedes co-operation with Honda is all about?

It's gotta be the hardest race on an engine. pretty much flat out for 200 laps. As much as we lambast it, think back to how many f1 drives ended up with mechanical failure during the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Few of you mentioned this, but thought it was funny anyway.

“You [Alonso] bought a lot to this year, you were humble, not like your other F1 drivers who made some comments this month.

“What you gonna say, the guy [Hamilton] raced two cars last year and finished second.”
