Just read this, looks promising. He even mentions Nasri.... I'm glad he wants a winger too! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11668_7100706,00.html
Have to say, Nasri looks like a long shot. I reckon City have probably sealed the deal with that. Just need to confirm it. Personally I would love to get Nasri and Adam Johnson.
A lot was made of Bobby going out to watch Neymar in Brazil v Germany but personally I think he was there just to monitor the Chelsea boys. We have scouts to go and watch potential signings. I'm 99% sure Modric wont happen this season but Nasri looks attainable if we just pulled our finger out. Forget the length of contracts involved, Nasri would cost less than we have already bid for Modric so why aren't we showing more intent for a proven and young P.L player with quality in the final 3rd??? And....Lukaku still hasn't gone through from what I can tell. We really have been fart arsing around the last few weeks!! Reminds me of the first 3 weeks of jan.....
I just think when you consider Cesc Calorgas has just gone to Barca for £35m.... Modric for the same amount seems a tad silly.
Nasri will go where he can get more money. Chelsea and Man City both in the CL so that's not a factor and very little between the sides if you look at the Prem table last season.
Exactly, Modric is totally overpriced at £22 million more a £15million player. I say **** the Spuds and let them keep the unhappy little weasal.
I agree to a point but we have a few factors over city: - - In London (more desirable and where he already lives) - Anelka and Malouda (team mates for France) - More proven pedigree and C.L experience. City are on the way up no doubt but we have won a lot more in the last few years than them. - Mancini, the man management skills of a bog brush Plus even if city will pay more wages, he'll still be getting a hefty pay rise if he came to us rather than stay at Arsenal.
Can just see the thread title now 'Bale is a disloyal welsh c***'. Either that or he'd try and say Bale only wanted to go to Chelsea with Modric on a nice shopping trip down the Kings Road!!.
If it was down to Modric he'd be wearing Chelsea colours already but his being held prisoner at Colditz lane.
we can,he was happy to sign a long contract,so he'll have to get over it till Levy decides to sell him
