Kyle says goodbye to Spurs

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by CFC: Champs £launderx17, May 25, 2017.

  1. According to the bookies, 'Pool should have romped the title every year since the birth of Christ!

It means nothing! As Leicester City proved, not so long ago.

Leicester were a rare exception. Liverpool haven't been favourites or close to favourites for many years.

Walker has maybe 5-6 years at the top level remaining. Do you think Spurs will win more than City in that time?

    Splitting hairs, I'm afraid.

If you want to take the word unique in its literal context then we're all unique.

  4. Going on the past couple of years - and provided we can keep our current set-up, and with the new stadium on the way - yes, most definitely, I think we can!

    Will we?

How the Hell do I know! Who do you think I am - a bookie?

Just like they've pinched all our other top players over the last several years.

As I recall, the last top player of ours to go to a premiership rival was Berbatov. And that was 9 yrs ago.

The odds are dictated by how many bets are placed on a certain team.
All that proves is Liverpool fans are highly delusional as to their teams chances of winning the league.

    Why?

City won a cup last season, so statistically he is Likelier to win a trophy there, than at 3PW

Yeah but you've not had any players worth pinching in that time (Bale aside).

Daniel Levy will get you millions and millions for your players but the buying clubs have the money to do it.

Those are some rather large assumptions. A new stadium is rarely a catalyst for instant success either.

Taking all relevant things into account, I think he'd be silly not to move.

We weren't talking about him as a unique human being though, we were discussing his value as per his attributes. If we were putting a value on him as a human being, it'd be way down in the tens of pounds, rather than the £180m being discussed.

Both Modric and Bale were wanted by Prem clubs. Chelsea tried very hard to get Modric, and Bale was badly wanted by Utd. Both of them bid more than the eventual buyer, Real Madrid, but Levy wouldn't allow them to go.

£180mill is ridiculous, imo. However, he's worth what somebody is willing to pay.

He's one of the top talents in world football.

Messi is in a class of one!...

Well that's all I've been trying to say in a roundabout way <laugh>

Maybe he fancies a move to China.

If Walker goes it will be because Pochettino has ok'd it.

Where he's allowed to go will be decided by Levy.

Because, as I've tried to point out, far more recent history dictates that it's true!..

    Nope.

If Levy really doesn't want City to have him, he'll sit on a bench instead.
