The club really can't win can they? They presumably put a decent package to MS, and he seemed to be considering stay. So why rush into looking? Yesterday evening he formally informed them he is leaving, and now we should be already interviewing? Read the boards, all of the available managers are getting slated. I am happy for the club to take a couple of weeks, interview decent candidates and (hopefully ) get a good management team in place. Remember we can't buy anyone for over 4 weeks, and players will be away for that time too
He's a complete and utter tool, that's his character baseline, it always has been, it always will be.
And we knew there was an 90% chance he was leaving whatever the outcome at the end of the season. However the way they see it, if they appoint someone now they'll be paying him for 3 months while we're not playing.
Yes, we can. Clubs have been signing players all May. Plus, the players will be almost back training in 4 weeks. Bruce was appointed in early June - we need that sort of time frame again or risk another **** street summer.
Because if we'd stayed up or gone down it was almost certain he was leaving either way. The window is when the players formally move, the deals can be made at any point of the year. Our competitors will be trying to agree deals for players now and if we wait 4 weeks to start negotiations it'd be ****ing ridiculous.
Are you ****ing serious?! They could win, they could be honest, they could reintroduce concessions, they could communicate with supporters, they could purchase desperately needed players at the required time such as Andre Gray, they could be successful owners of a Premier League club if it wasn't for the total **** up they created a year ago, they could have treated previous managers such as Barmby and Bruce with respect. They didn't do any of these things, and many more, I don't expect them ever to change, so no, you're right, they'll never ****ing win!
So which of the non-entities do you want to manage us? Out of those banded about i would take Monk, but would prefer to take a week, put together a better package and get in someone of higher quality
What has any of that got to do with picking the right manager? I want the idiots out of the club, I also want the club built to something sustainable. I don't want a panic decision, end up with a rubbish manager, investing in a poor squad, then having to sack and restart again in December! ! Sake of a week of research and selection is better than months of regret
Feels like its almost impossible to have a reasoned argument about the Allams on here . If you dare to suggest they might have done something right (like appointing Marco in the first place) you're seen as an Allam apologist. I actually think they have done a lot wrong but how they were supposed to have known a month back that he was going to leave and have a replacement lined up is beyond me. Especially as the managers available seem to change on a daily basis at the moment.
Listen, posting on this message board that 'the club can't win' is like lighting the blue touch paper, it's not a clever thing to post, not in any context. If they wanted to 'win' they should have given more thought to some of the ludicrous things that they've done since AA threw the baby out with the bath water over a disagreement with Hull City Council some years ago.
You are right, Bruce did sign early in June. Given that June is 6 days away, and I take early June to be before the 7th, by your argument we still have 13 days to appoint a manager. I think spending 13 days (or two weeks as I said), logically and methodically selecting the RIGHT manager could be time well spent, rather then rushing out to those available now. Though in fair logical and methodical may be beyond the Allams
Sake of a week of research and selection is better than months of regret. **** me. If we appoint a manager before mid July I'll show my hairy arse piece in Hammonds/ Prem/ Paulines gift shop window.
Who said anything about been clever? Read most of the posts on here, not many are actually clever or thought out. They could not win regards : They make the announcement they have - they haven't even planned ect (let's forgot the fact the current manager is still technically in post until his contract was severed today formally. They come out with MS has gone we are interviewing XXX tomorrow - it would have been one of the managers already slated on here, hence more slating They come out with MS is off and we are already looking - the response would be along the lines of "bet they didn't meet his demands..." Regardless of what statement the club put out about MS leaving it would never have been met well Therefore the club cannot win. As for all the hate towards the Allams, too right they should never win!!!
No, I think he's buying himself a bit of time. I honestly think he'll be on with it, relegation or not us peasants knew silva would leave so even Ehab must have had an idea
I really hope we do appointment someone by then purely to prevent that travesty against humanity!!! I never said they will use logic and research to make a quick bur quality appointment, but I can live in hope!! The sentiment is the same, let's not rush to an appointment for the sake of it
