To be fair to Trump he has been complaining about the US intelligence leaking stuff anyway. And I doubt it is any of his team's doing if it is being leaked to the NY Times or Washington Post.

On the night it happened I switched over from BBC News because they were just repeating the same things which winds me up and CNN do a more rolling informative style. CNN announced that UK intelligence were treating it as a terrorist attack while the BBC were still doing the rolling coverage. Half an hour later the BBC still hadn't been told officially and did the usual "The BBC understands from US sources" that they often do.

Not that I am a fan of Trump but the US intelligence seems to have more leaks than Whitehall do.

Pretty sure this is the first time since WWII that UK intelligence agencies have announced they won't be sharing intel with their US counterparts. This is an unprecedented break down of trust.

Totally agree with you but it's not down to Trump! He has been railing against the intelligence leaking stuff and "picking sides."

I would bet after he told NATO via Europe they have to pay their way and not just expect the US to defend them for free he then said to May "We both want to sort this problem out."

Talking about "UK intelligence agencies" is going a bit far. As far as I can see it's only Manchester Police who are not sharing information about this specific investigation.

Indeed. I'm sure May's people can see this could be an opportunity to get some good PR.

Conservatives’ free school breakfast pledge ‘costed at just 7p per meal’

A Conservative Party manifesto pledge to give all primary school pupils free breakfasts falls short by £340m, it has been claimed.

The party’s manifesto, released last week, proposes scrapping universal infant free school meals – which cost an estimated £600m each year – in favour of free breakfasts for all primary school pupils, at an estimated cost of just £60m per year.

So does that mean that Schools are charging £2.50 for free lunches that "cost" 70p at the moment? Because that is what they charge non infants at the primary school my kids go to! And where does the extra £1.80 go if they cost 70p?

Did you read report? The Tories screwing up a costing after bashing Corbyn is kind of funny.

It's happened on Trump's watch. As far as I'm aware it's never happened before. Do you really absolve him of responsibility so readily?

7p for breakfasts estimated to cost £60m which suggests that if lunches have cost £600m estimate it is 10x 7p!!

I've already said before I think the policy is mad. It should still be free lunches for those that are in need and not some wholesale across the board soundbite gimmick pinched from the Lib Dems book of "lovely things that sound nice."

He is the head of state so of course it falls on his watch. however he has been complaining about leaks from the US intelligence services since he was campaigning let alone as president and people have tried to paint a picture of a President "bad mouthing his own intelligence services."

Yet now it is down to Trump? Yes it is down to him as President to get it sorted. However before this week we had open mouths in shock because the President was calling out his intelligence services for constant leaks.

It doesn't cover the same number of students which is apparently one of the reasons it saves money.

The leaks are coming from his own staff. Couldn't wait to pin the crime on Muslim terrorism.

There's actually research (LINK) to suggest that free breakfasts (which apparently cost £11.86 per pupil per year in the trial, giving that 7p per meal claim some credibility) are at least as effective at improving progress at school as free lunches. Having said that, means testing may not be such a good idea.
