We'll finish better ... you will finish worse. We'll still have an EPL title ... you won't. Not everyone can win buddy ... it's an unfortunate fact

I expect to see our squad change - but we have owners more than willing to support 6 figure salaries and there will be no shortage of players wanting to join us - particularly now that our name is known by all football fans throughout the world after that title winning campaign and our exploits in the UCL.this season.

Shakey has been with us throughout 3 winning League campaigns ... that's some record ... do you think Poch will ever manage to win a trophy or is he destined to be a nearly man forever? ...

League 1 and the Championship don't count mate. They aren't the premier league so he doesn't know what they are. They also aren't featured very heavily in the BBC gossip column so we can forgive the ignorance

  3. Shakey hasn't won anything on his own, though, has he? Plus, he's never likely to surpass what Ranieri did, is he?

As for Poch, he clearly doesn't have to rely on flukes to keep Spurs as a title-challenging side. I expect more of the same from him, which means more top 4 finishes and more CL footy.

Poch hasn't actually won anything on his own or as an assistant now, has he? Plus he's never likely to equal, never mind surpass, what Bill Nicholson did, is he?

As for Shakey, he has clearly demonstrated that he knows what it takes to win a title (or 3) ... and was part of a managerial set up that amassed the most points in the EPL over a 47 game consecutive run. Clearly only a complete fool with no credible footballing knowledge could ever conclude that a run of that magnitude had any element of fluke about it ... <ok>

  5. Imitating my piss-taking and sarcastic literary structures doesn't make you a Master Wumster (albeit that it vastly improves your overall style). I'm sure you know this, but I want to make sure that we are singing off the same hymn sheet, Bambs.

My hymn sheet has bigger words but less commas than yours' Quentin... suspect it will stay that way too :)

  8. I've been giving this a lot of thought, and I think what annoys me most about LCFC having won the title last season, is that if lowly Leicester can win it - albeit off the back of a fluke season - then any team can win it.

It cheapens the experience for all of us.

When Spurs do, eventually, win the Prem title, it will be like "Yeah, well, even lowly Leicester won it, so what!"

Doesn't that piss anyone else off?

That is definitely true. If you ever go about winning it with your budget and wages, it would have been a brilliant achievement and still will be. However it will not be as big as an achievement as leicester winning it.

Maybe if you could win it 2 in a row then you'd get a lot more credit but it still wouldn't be the fairytale story leicesters was

And no it doesn't piss me off. It was amazing to see something like that in my lifetime as it was previously thought impossible

    I disagree.
if Spurs win the title then they will have deserved to win it by the fact that they would have scored more points than anyone else - which is what Leicester did.
you can't fluke a title over 38 games, but you can fluke a one off game (like a FA Cup Final hopefully) and it does happen often.

Leicester won (like Nottingham Forest did previously) against the odds

What annoys you most is you're still ****ing bitter about it.

I'm sure it'd be much better if Man U won it every year!

IMO it would be great if different teams won it every year. It makes a more exciting league. You would be happy with a closed shop, good for you. The majority of football fans support teams outside the top 4/5 in the premier league and would disagree with you I'm sure

If a different team win it every year then Spurs would only have to wait 19 more years on top of the 55 years they have already waited:)

Think of it as being analogous to your missus ... most on here have been there before you and even made her come ... something you can only aspire to and will propably never acheive ... simples Quentin <laugh>
