Warm balls will be used to make sure that doesn't happen. UEFA will want Sevilla in the group stages

Rafa was defensive first but still excited. That year came 2nd scored shed load of goals with Torres and Gerrard being deadly up top. Was definitely exciting to watch.

Pretty sure we're both seeded so won't be possible.

you scored 77 goals. In mourinhos 3 title winning games he scored 72 which isn't too far behind.

At real he had over 100 goals. Still doesn't take away the fact they are both pragmatists who expect all players to defend 10 men behind the ball with very structured teams.

You had exciting players but you certainly were not an exciting team

There is a need to build the team from the back

Goals scored and conceded in (bracket)

    Chelsea 85 (33) 3
    Tottenham 86 (26) 1
    Man City 80 (41) 4
    Liverpool 78 (42) 5
    Arsenal 77 (44) 6*joint 6
    Man Utd 54 (29) 2
    Everton 62 (44) 6*joint 6

Tottenham have the best defensive record in the league in 2016/2017 followed by Manchester United.

Pullis couldngrt his team to score 100 goals if e managed Madrid. They beat teams at the bottom 8-0 when only have 4 shots!

Problem with Rafa that year was we'd hammer teams by and get few big wins, but in some games, like us this year we couldn't break down teams and got too many draws.

Are you serious? Rafa's 2008/9 team from Reina right through to Torres held it's own against any previous Liverpool XI. Mascherano, Gerrard and Alonso in midfield were as exciting as it gets. Rant aside, it was one of the most exciting seasons I can remember. In Europe we cruised through a CL group containing Atletico Madrid, Marseille and PSV Eindhoven, before facing Real Madrid in the second round. We won 1-0 at the Bernabeu, before a Gerrard-inspired performance trounced Real 4-0 in the second leg at Anfield. It was the performance of the season, though there were plenty to choose from.

What that says is score goals and you'll do best. Spurs were 7 goals better than Chelsea in defence and united 4 goals Better but finished 2nd and 6th. The top 5 finished in scoring order with Chelsea most down to arsenal.

Yes i'm serious. You might have had exciting performances under rafa (like istanbul) in one of games and when you trounce the opposition but Rafa is a defence first manager who makes sure his team are structured and don't concede.

When we beat barca 4-2 under jose or beat bayern 4-2, those were very exciting games of football.

We even beat you 4-1 in 05/06 for a nice big scoring game.

That doesn't make Jose an exciting coach though. I would be lying if i said Jose likes to play exciting football. Hes had some exciting players but if he could win a game 1-0 he would. Same with Rafa

One thing is remarkable with these stats: Spurs have both the best defence and the best attack in the premiership this season. When was the last time a team with these stats did not win the league? Or has there been league winners before without neither the best attack nor the best defence?

I completely disagree. Up until his last season Rafa's team was a joy to watch. We had the best midfield in the world, dontcha know, great strike partnership as well as a good defence. Rafa got it right all over the pitch. Truly exciting to watch.

You can't take 1 years worth of statistics and twist it like that :p.

What we generally do know is that the most balanced team wins. You can't have a team that can attack and can't defend. Likewise you can't have a team that just knows how to defend but needs to attack.
