Sky News reporting that Monday's cowardly murderer was part of an alleged ISIS cell from the south of Manchester (described by some as a 'hotspot of extremism'). He and his cohorts are no more than a bunch of low-life failed human beings. Most of them are dead. Lets hope the rest are caught soon.
By all accounts, they've known about these ****s for years and did sweet FA. They should all have been locked up by now and the keys thrown away. But the Police can't do that can they. The PC Liberals in this country have a lot answer for, but, they'll continue to push their agenda to the hilt, and there is **** all we can do about it. Not to worry though, they can sleep safely in their beds at night, in the knowledge that they'll be ok.
All I'll say and leave it at that is, if this **** had been removed from our streets, there would be 22 people still living.
He should have been detained at the airport and held. Better still interrogated. Nay, tortured. Even make him watch a DVD of Sunderland FC.
I will repeat what I said above - Travel to and from certain countries that are extremist hotbeds should be forbidden.
This so-called terror network....were, in fact, a bunch of low-life no marks from a council estate in nw England. The twat that set the bomb off on Monday was the son of an asylum seeker who fled Libya in the 1990s. There's gratitude for ya.
2-0 to Man Utd in the Europa League final....if ever I wanted a(nother) team to win a game of football
I think the disgrace is the people who carry out the bombings and those who radicalise them. The rest of us have different opinions of how to tackle the problem and how much we want our society to change in order to tackle the problem. The intentions on both sides of the debate are genuine though.
Well put. If we'd banned bathtubs from homes last year, there would be 29 people still alive. [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...-many-in-UK-as-terrorists-says-watchdog.html] If we'd banned smoking 40,000 people would still be alive. [http://content.digital.nhs.uk/catalogue/PUB20781/stat-smok-eng-2016-rep.pdf] If we'd banned drinking, 21,000 people would still be alive [https://www.alcoholconcern.org.uk/alcohol-statistics] I'm not advocating any of these things. Nor am I saying that the decision not to arrest the bomber in advance on this occasion was justified or worthwhile. The point is that we all agree that there's a limit to the power we want to give to the state in order to save lives. As MYAW said - we have different opinions on where that limit should be. Maybe we should be re-examining the laws - but a knee jerk reaction that turns us into a police state is definitely not the way to go. Particularly if it helps alienate the exact people who are trying to help by reporting these pyschopaths when they emerge! People in the Muslim community apparently reported him FIVE times to the security services [http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...s-missed-five-opportunities-stop-manchester/] - sounds like they're doing their bit!
So it's being reported that the cowardly little rat had links to a top IS recruiter in the UK, another cowardly little **** I might add. The SAS need to get on the case and take some of these 'recruiters' to one side and 'have a word.' Show them what being tough is all about. What is clear is that anyone spouting this sharia/ jihadist nonsense, or actively supporting ISIS and other fundamentalist groups outside of mosques, in public, on the internet within the UK needs to be rounded up and shown the error of their ways. There is an offence that is still on the legislative books - High Treason, that used to carry the death penalty. Islamic fundamentalism needs to be added to a list of offences that constitute High Treason. There should be a primary offence: (a) Causing or Planning Direct Acts of Terror against the United Kingdom. For those caught alive and convicted in a court of law of planning, carrying out acts of terror against any person, public or private body and or organisation, the penalty needs to be: - - Life in solitary confinement in a military prison either in the UK or abroad. I don't agree with the death penalty funnily enough. I think it lets them off scott free. There should be a secondary offence (b) Advocating, Inciting or Encouraging Direct Acts of Terror against the United Kingdom. This offence is for those that preach, radicalize, or harbour anyone suspected of (a), or for anyone that 'advocates' or 'encourages' the commission of (a). This would encompass hate preachers, ISIS advocates, supporters or those that attempt to radicalize anyone. The penalty should be: - UK citizens - 15-20 years in solitary confinement in a military prison together with a lifetime ban on travel outside of the country. - Non-UK citizens - Immediate deportation back to wherever the **** they came from with a lifetime ban from UK entry. The human rights act should not apply to a non-UK citizen found guilty of this crime. I do think that the police/ armed forces should be encouraged to capture these bastards alive if at all possible. Thoughts?
I think you may have misunderstood what a human right is. Respect for human rights - the right to life, the right to liberty, the right to freedom of expression and freedom of religion - is precisely what differentiates us from ISIS et al. I'm not blind - I see how the HRA is abused, and how people take advantage of it. But that's a reason to tighten the loopholes, not abandon a fundamental part of British Values. We've led the world in human rights since the enlightenment (one of the key reasons we never had a revolution). I'd hate to see us destroy that legacy because of human filth like ISIS.
I'm sure there's already serious consequences for anyone involved in planning acts of terrorism against the UK. The issue is catching them doing it and that's an intelligence/surveillance issue. What are the police saying they need in terms of law changes or resources to catch these people? These are the people who should drive the changes if any. It's slightly worrying though that there are reports that the Police were tipped off about the bomber and he still slipped through the net. Are they under resourced, or did they just get it wrong that they thought he wasn't as serious a threat he proved to be?
